Definitely set up an alternative sink if your kitchen is being renovated. I spent 6 weeks washing dishes in the bathtub (awkward, uncomfortable) because my laundry was not suitable. Wish I had rigged up an outdoor alternative with the old sink and a hose!

Your point about being decisive is paramount. I spent a lot of time in the research phase.. An ensuite/ laundry demo to studs and refit. Our builder, electrician, plumber, tiler have all commented how much easier it made their job having clearly defined plans, fixtures, tiles, photos or sketches for custom cabinetry all decided. Having everything purchased and ready for them to work streamlines the whole process.

Great ideas and tips! I made a good choice in contacting Jims Building Maintenance
( http://www.jimsbuildingmaintenance.com.au/bathroom-renovations.html) for my bathroom renovation. They did a great job! It was on time, within the budget and the quality was beyond I expected. They went through every decision and design aspect with us so that they can give us that desired look and feel we envisioned. Highly recommended!
