Chief Sub-Editor and Writer, Houzz Australia and New Zealand. I love design and architecture that is thoughtful, sophisticated and champions an element of the unexpected. Before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts at UNSW and becoming a journalist, I studied interior architecture. For over a decade I have interviewed inspiring creative minds from around the world to write about design in its many different forms. Recently, I have also become an accidental gardener, to everyone's surprise.

Love these. Green is so varied and versatile, one for every situation, although I did find no. 12 a bit too much of a good thing
About 3 years ago I wallpapered one wall in my Seniors unit that I rent from our government Housing Department, (I'm 81) and it has made such a difference to how my living room feels. My wallpaper features palm leaves in several shades of green which, as a garden lover, appealed to me as soon as I saw it. Most of the furniture is white....several bookcases, coffee table, and sideboard, and pale cream couches with cushions featuring palmleaf designs, that I sewed myself. On the whole, my living room has a very calming effect and is my favourite room, thanks to me choosing to bring green into it....!
Fabulous!
