No, really I don't know anyone with carpeting. I know people with large area rugs over hard floor surfaces, particularly in living and dining rooms. As I said on a previous post, I have no doubt that carpeting sells, I see it in stores that are retailers of floor materials. There's something out there to suit everyone's tastes!
