Jean-Robert Strele
rereading this post after a couple of years. well done to all involved in the planning and execution.

we have now moved to the mountains of Colombia and are trying our hands at a similar project. our forever-home, it will be single level, no steps, with all showers and hallways wheelchair accessible. All rooms are multi purpose gym-bedroom, Office-Hometheater-Bedroom, etc.

We get more than 4x the rain of Melbourne (2,300mm) per year, average temp is 16.8°C year-round with typical lo/hi of 13/23°C. Our plan is to be completely off the grid for electrical and water, with grid as back up only.

A question for the author/owner: could you please elaborate on your "double filtration" of rain water?

Again, kudos on a nicely designed house.

Oceanic Pools

Some great designed homes here. I would love to see a eco-friendly pool renovation in a home one day.

White Pebble Interiors

Hi Oceanic Pools - the billabong featured in this home is eco-friendly. It's natural, living water (similar to a lake) that has no chemicals, chlorine or salt added. There are living plants in the water ( water lillies and reeds), and we fill the pool with tank water, which is rainwater from our roof.
