Coral Lake

I now wash my towels in warm/hot water and after years of using softener (and sick of cleaning the thick scum from the inside of my washing machine) I converted to using half a cup of vinegar (no residual smell) instead. What a difference.

New towels and even tea towels often won't absorb moisture, but I soak mine in napisan to break down the coating they got during manufacture. To stop colours running before soaking them, you can first soak them in well-salted water.
