Seagirl....thank you for the note. I did read your comment in September. You sound like you are right in the thick of things now and I still have that to look forward to. Our bed gets put in the family room tomorrow while the hardwood, trim, etc goes into the master....I'll be looking for our bed at night as well...lol. But you know what...I appreciate your optimism. I'm hoping by March things start coming together. I asked my husband why I'm struggling with this move so much as all the others went well and we never skipped a beat. His response was "we're downsizing...it was always more fun when the house kept getting bigger and bigger." I think he hit the nail on the head

Joanie Young, your husband's downsizing response is spot on! Downsizing is very difficult but I believe the rewards are worth it. When we moved we had to re-think every item we owned and ended up getting rid of 2/3rds of our belongings because we knew there wouldn't be room in our new house! But honestly, I haven't missed any of those items. We have to be more organized now because we have limited space for storage and we give extra consideration to every item we purchase. Having excess 'stuff' clutters our lives. I feel like a burden has been lifted, which helps to make this move even more rewarding. Good luck with your new home!

I can't relate at all - I beyond love my condo, and I have since day 1, even though I've been renovating it since I bought it. It was the right purchase - I could see the bones and what it could be despite the cosmetic things that I hated (and there were A LOT). It's still a work in progress and will continue to be for some time, but its really coming together - I've attached a couple before and afters.
