Inside Houzz: Explore Sketch, a New Way to Bring Design Ideas to Life
Update your Houzz app for iPhone® and iPad® to get Sketch
Sketch is a completely new function in the Houzz app that makes it even easier to communicate using photos and to add products on Houzz to any photo. The Houzz app, updated with Sketch, is available to download in the Apple App Store℠.
With Sketch, you can select any of the photos on Houzz, or take one of your own, then add products on Houzz and annotate the photos using tools such as stickers for easy communication.

To start a Sketch, simply tap the Sketch icon on any photo on Houzz. By selecting the chair icon in the Sketch menu, you can add any of the millions of products and materials from the Houzz Shop directly to the photo to explore design ideas. Users can select products and materials on Houzz and place them onto any photo.
With Sketch you can write, type or draw directly on photos, whether to circle a design feature that inspires you, note the dimensions of a room, sketch where you envision adding a new lighting fixture and more. From the Sketch menu, select the pencil, measure, arrow or text tool and start making notes!
To express thoughts quickly, check out stickers by tapping the smiley face in the Sketch menu. With more than 150 stickers available, you can make notes of things you like and areas you’d like to change. You can also insert placeholders for products, materials and features you’d like to add to the space.
