Mine seem to attract the dreaded mosquito. Might be due to the moisture they need?

marcros - it was ironic, I used to have an ornamental pond in my garden and maidenhair grew rampant around that and I didn't even plant it, but every plant I bought for the house would only last 6 to 12 months. Next time I get one I will focus on keeping the humidity up around it more and see if that works.

Olldroo i always find plants do better outside, and i suppose in Brisbane we have enough humidity here anyway, i would always buy two and swap them around. bathrooms seem a good spot for a plant who loves humidity. i just love them.
