I agree Rebekah, I really like the silver look and I look after hundreds of square meters of timber decking and art work that we are letting go "weathered grey" but it still needs protecting. I use two different products. Organoil outdoor furniture oil or lanotec timber seal. Neither of these products have a stain in them, so the timber is protected from the damaging effects of sun and rain but the uv is allowed to do its thing and bleach it out slowly. Cutek cd 50 is also an exceptional product which you add the stain in separately, so just don't add it.

I just love natural wood & it's hard work but worth it. This is my deck in Wattle Grove which now has new owners.
