I make most of my own cushions thanks. The blue hot air balloon fabric and orange spiral fabrics were from Spotlight along with the bunting fabric. The tractor cushions was a tea towel from the Shearers Hall of Fame in Hay, NSW which I made into a cushion. Black cushion was from Ikea and other random orange cushions were from Target.

2. Personalised wallpaperIf framing your photos is not enough, why not blow them up into artworks instead? Howden Homes engaged The Wall Sticker Company in Melbourne to transform a cherished family photo into customised wallpaper to decorate the living room in their Victorian homestead. Tip: Wall stickers are cut to size and made from vinyl so they do not peel off or shrink but are removable, which is good news for renters who want to jazz up a wall without getting their landlords off side.

Why Install a Scenic Wallcovering?Like a pictorial book, a scenic wallcovering has something to say. Whether it’s a favourite image of your family, a local map or a historic theme, a scenic wallcovering is expressive and memorable.

Family valuesIf you’re having trouble deciding on the right wallpaper design from the myriad possibilities that exist, consider having a favourite photo turned into a mural. It’s a uniquely personal way to be reminded of your family every day. Go for an action shot rather than something too staged. You can also have it printed in either a reduced colour palette or sepia tones to pair with more monochromatic furnishings.
