This luxurious bathroom by Melbourne interior designer Camilla Molders is a refined balance of elegance, texture and atmosphere. A beautifully detailed mosaic marble floor anchors the space, paired with full-height marble wall tiles that wrap the room in softness and subtle movement.
Vintage-inspired lighting adds warmth and character, casting a flattering glow that enhances the natural veining of the stone. The considered layout maximises every inch, creating a chic, cleverly designed bathroom that feels both functional and indulgent.
Layered materials, timeless finishes and thoughtful detailing combine to create a welcoming mood — a space that feels serene, sophisticated and enduring.

Design ideas for an expansive contemporary master bathroom in Sydney with dark wood cabinets, a freestanding tub, a double shower, a one-piece toilet, gray tile, stone tile, grey walls, marble floors, a vessel sink, marble benchtops, grey floor, an open shower, grey benchtops, a shower seat, a double vanity, a floating vanity and flat-panel cabinets.

This project was all about taking a tired, cluttered bathroom and turning it into a calm, design-led sanctuary. The original space was heavy on storage but lacked character, with dated cabinetry, fussy curtains, and no real sense of style or flow.
The new design strips everything back to a clean, modern canvas. We introduced soft neutral tiles in a handmade finish for texture, paired with a striking herringbone marble floor to elevate the look. A bespoke vanity with fluted detailing creates subtle movement, while the arched mirror framed by elegant wall lights adds depth and sophistication.
Brass fixtures were chosen throughout to bring warmth and a touch of luxury, from the concealed flush plate to the wall-mounted taps. The layered lighting (including the ceiling pendant) ensures this bathroom feels inviting both day and night.
To keep the design practical for everyday family life, we added bespoke built-in storage in the nook behind the door — the perfect hidden spot for all the family bathroom essentials (because beautiful doesn’t mean you can’t also be organised!).
The result? A contemporary, timeless bathroom that feels effortlessly stylish yet practical — the kind of space you’d actually look forward to starting your day in.

We added a black cast iron rolltop bath to the bathroom of our Wandsworth Common Family Home primary suite and added green zellige tiles and Roman blinds to add softness to the marble floor tiles..

Inspired by beautiful marble from north Tuscany, this fine grey veining delivers sophistication. Calacatta’s classic design is especially striking in this bathroom, surrounded by pristine white fixtures and complemented by the bolder marmoreal pattern of the vanity top.

The master bathroom has true 5* European bathroom feelings, from a private w/c and wetroom to a beautifully sculpted bay window bath. Golden Spider Marble and Sicis mosaics compliment the bespoke his and her basins, glass details and the wall and cornicing profiles elegantly.

A navy built in vanity unit with a carrara marble top and Leroy Brooks tap. Love the nickel wall lights here and the mirror we painted in a matching colour to the vanity! Also note the Calacatta marble tiles for the bath/shower.

Bronze Green family bathroom with dark rusty red slipper bath, marble herringbone tiles, cast iron fireplace, oak vanity sink, walk-in shower and bronze green tiles, vintage lighting and a lot of art and antiques objects!

As we had more space to work with, we inserted a bigger shower and swapped around the bath and vanity area. We also carried on the industrial chic theme by fitting matt black taps and fixtures.

When the homeowners purchased this Victorian family home, this bathroom was originally a dressing room. With two beautiful large sash windows which have far-fetching views of the sea, it was immediately desired for a freestanding bath to be placed underneath the window so the views can be appreciated. This is truly a beautiful space that feels calm and collected when you walk in – the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern family life.
The bathroom is accessed from the main bedroom via a few steps. Honed marble hexagon tiles from Ca’Pietra adorn the floor and the Victoria + Albert Amiata freestanding bath with its organic curves and elegant proportions sits in front of the sash window for an elegant impact and view from the bedroom.
