Upon entering the great room, the view of the beautiful Minnehaha Creek can be seen in the banks of picture windows. The former great room was traditional and set with dark wood that our homeowners hoped to lighten. We softened everything by taking the existing fireplace out and creating a transitional great stone wall for both the modern simplistic fireplace and the TV. Two seamless bookcases were designed to blend in with all the woodwork on either end of the fireplace and give flexibly to display special and meaningful pieces from our homeowners’ travels. Small backyard with lots of potential. We created the perfect space adding visual interest from inside the house to outside of it. We added a BBQ Island with Grill, sink, and plenty of counter space. BBQ Island was cover with stone veneer stone with a concrete counter top. Opposite side we match the veneer stone and concrete cap on a newly Outdoor fireplace. far side we added some post with bright colors and drought tolerant material and a special touch for the little girl in the family, since we did not wanted to forget about anyone. The Quarry Mill's Salem natural thin stone veneer complements the cozy feel of this shabby-chic living area. Salem natural stone veneer brings a relaxing blend of granites sourced throughout New England. The stone is characterized as a castle rock style due to the large rectangular pieces of stone. This style is also referred to as square-rectangular or square-rec for short. The individual pieces can range from 4″-12″ in height allowing your mason to create a natural looking wall with non-repeating patterns. Salem thin stone veneer is most commonly found on large scale exterior projects. The stones will be snapped (a natural and still rustic looking edge created by breaking the stone with a hydraulic press) on all four sides. The castle rock is almost always installed with a mortar joint between the pieces of stone.
