Front Driveway.
The driveway is bordered with an indigenous grass to the area Ficinia nodosa. The centre strip is planted out with thyme to give you sent as you drive over it.
It sits in of a contemporary concrete driveway made with a pale exposed aggregate. The cladding on the house is a fairly contemporary blonde Australian hardwood timber.

This project consists of a Delta Custom Flush Fit Panel Door, fitted with 40mm Pacific Teak Battens which are spaced apart to allow airflow through the garage.
This door is the perfect option for allowing light and air into your garage without compromising on security or privacy.

A concealed basement garage lies beneath the Walsh-Wykes House, accessed via a recycled ironbark driveway. Timber batten doors open to reveal a sculpted entry and a turntable that allows cars to rotate in place—balancing practicality with precision detailing. This space was designed to store and showcase a treasured classic car collection while keeping the street frontage clean and uninterrupted. Photo by Marian Riabic

The residence is located in Cumbayá - Ecuador, in a property of 2,500 m2. The location of the residence has been conceived as a continuous environment without barriers and open to the public space. The extension of the two front volumes generate a hug of welcome to visitors because of its spatial configuration, on this meeting point (pivot) is where the entrance to the house occurs. The location of the volume divides the property in two different uses: an open – continuous highlighting the architecture coming from the public area and other closed - private, where daily life unfolds. One of the main challenges was to respect the existing vegetation over the site.
