The client purchased this home but was not happy with the existing kitchen, even though it was only 5 years old. The kitchen was rather bland and layout wasn't ideal. Brief: clean, uncluttered look, new aesthetic with cooktop space, large pantry with bench. Move sink and dishwasher into the island. Solution: retain open plan look without overhead cabinets. Rose colored mirror splashback with dark joinery framing the space and long dark cylinders of the range hood reflect in the mirror for dynamic effect. Softer tone flooring installed to contrast dark joinery. The look was repeated in the bar, bbq area and entertainment unit.
