What Houzz contributors are saying:
VinylVinyl floors have come a long way since the old days. The variety and the quality of finishes available today make them suitable for a very wide range of applications and homes (and commercial dwellings, too!). Unlike laminate – vinyl’s biggest competitor on the market – vinyl flooring is moisture resistant and is a great option to consider for kitchens, laundries and bathrooms. And if you don’t like the clickety sound of heels on laminate floors, rejoice, vinyl is virtually noise free.
What Houzzers are commenting on:
Basement idea. Keep ceilings exposed yet paint white. Nice drop down lights.
No ceiling in parts, saves money, and painted up, looks good.
White painter joists w industrial lighting
“I wanted to keep the laundry down here, because right now the kids love to be where I am, which means they’ll follow me down, then play down here,” Sterling says. The space also has a second refrigerator for extra storage and snacks for the kids. The baskets to the left are a work in progress; right now each one contains equipment for different activities, like swimming or skating.
