Note how we always have large bluestone pieces at the edge because we lay out the pattern with AutoCAD. There are two more granite steps at the driveway. See the granite lamp post.

The vertical garden provides a small scale herb and vegetable garden with edible flowers. It's located close to the kitchen for ease of use and care.

Pavers are very versatile products. They are used as walkways, driveways, patios, decks, swimming pool areas, outdoor kitchens and pathway coverings and look amazing regardless of the application they are used in. You can choose from different varieties of pavers and the design opportunities are plenty. When you call Bulldog Paving for Driveway Pavers, we provide you with different options and quotes. Beautiful Driveway Pavers We work well within your budget and in the timeframe that has been decided for the project. The solution that we provide for your driveway pavers requirement will be based on the kind of area that has to be covered, the architectural styling of your home, your personal choice and some other factors.

We used exposed beach pebble bands to break up the large amount of concrete in this driveway. The pebble is set on a concrete base and set in mortar which makes it very sturdy to drive on. After installed we put a clear sealer over the pebble to make it shine. The concrete has an etched finish which also shows small amounts of aggregate in the finish. This gives the concrete a sanded finish which is a non-slip finish.

The uneven back yard was graded into ¬upper and lower levels with an industrial style, concrete wall. Linear pavers lead the garden stroller from place to place alongside a rain garden filled with swaying grasses that spans the side yard and culminates at a gracefully arching pomegranate tree, A bubbling boulder water feature murmurs soothing sounds. A large steel and willow-roof pergola creates a shady space to dine in and chaise lounges and chairs bask in the surrounding shade. The transformation was completed with a bold and biodiverse selection of low water, climate appropriate plants that make the space come alive. branches laden with impossibly red blossoms and fruit. The elements of a sustainable habitat garden have been designed into the ¬lush landscape. One hundred percent of rainwater runoff is diverted into the two large raingardens which infiltrate stormwater runoff into the soil. After building up the soil with tons of organic amendments, we added permeable hardscape elements, a water feature, native and climate appropriate plants - including an exceedingly low-water Kurapia lawn - and drip irrigation with a smart timer. With these practices we’ve created a sumptuous wildlife habitat that has become a haven for migratory birds & butterflies.

NORWOOD | FRONT GARDEN
Breath of fresh air | Slick upgrade for front garden
Front Garden Areas
Our client brief was to give their tired ‘old’ garden a complete makeover. A new driveway to replace the old red brick drive, create a garden out of an unused passageway style lifeless garden.
We guided our clients to embrace a new fresh look whilst looking back to the heritage style for design detail and quirky interest.
The new driveway is polished concrete with strips of bluestone cobbles which link the new bluestone pathway to the front door. The cobble feature harks back to the 1900’s brickwork on the northern side wall. Here there are small feature bricks running parallel with the ‘old reds’ giving the wall visual interest and a quirky detail.
A new front fence with a little more height for balance to the gable. The entrance entices visitors through a generous gate to polished concrete steppers planted with dwarf mondo grass. Newly painted driveway fence planted with Star Jasmine to create a green wall along the northern fence line. New lawn and garden beds cool the western garden areas incorporating classic modern garden design and lighting.
There is an excellent balance between soft and hard landscaping.

This Montecito front yard was transformed with artificial turf, boulder edging, planting, landscape lighting and more. Synthetic grass was cut to fit around a boulder edging. The boulders were from the mudslide tragedy in 2018. This landscape was rebuilt and renewed. Landscaping and stone edging surround this loop driveway.
