This 1950's ranch originally had a coat closet where the console and lamp are and a solid front door. It was essentially a dark hallway. The coat closet was removed allowing for a console and the front door was replaced with a Dutch door with divided lites. New trim was added throughout the space. The walls are wallpapered in a welcoming and cheerful orange/pink grasscloth. The owner's colorful art is highlighted.

East wall a custom curio to house a delightful large vintage doll collection with additional storage below for the remaining dolls. The curio includes LED lighting. The client must have was that she could rotate her doll collection around with ease and change out to display remaining dolls which are stored below.

The open floor plan needed to color coordinate while allowing color to help create the different spaces. This California family gravitated to colors from the southwest; Feng Shui Earth Element tones to feed their Metal natures. Tumbled marble tile was laid in varying sizes with mosaic inserts to create texture and interest.
