HAWTHORN EAST HOUSEContemporary Dining Room, Melbourne
What Houzz contributors are saying:
Danielle Trippett, principal at Danielle Trippett Interior Design, says: 4. Blunder: The kitchen doesn’t suit the spaceYou’ll often see open-plan spaces where the kitchen has no styling relationship with the architecture of the house or the adjoining living area.
The kitchen leads onto the dining and living area, all celestially lit up by Silver Galaxy stone tiles. Pendant, dining table and chairs: RH Modern in LA; sofa: King Furniture; the marble tabletop was made by Parthenon Marble (the stonemason for the whole project)
What Houzzers are commenting on:
I love the warm wood in the kitchen, combined with the cool (or warmed) floor tiles and the contrasting fabrics of the luxurious dining table chairs and the neutral sofa. I think I love that dining suite; it is quite unusual, yet practical. I like the work-spaces in the background and the glass cabinet to display practical glasses and nice ceramics that might be used as well as displayed.
