This Art Studio was placed within the tight boundaries of setback lines. It faced North so the main light was captured on the north facing façade. In order to allow the Pecan tree to continue it's growth the exposed outriggers were designed around the branches.

This study / den / billiard / room was designed and built by us in American black walnut. The leaded glass doors flanking the fireplace house the client's antique gun collection. The two doors at the left-hand side of the desk area conceal a bar. The room at the back, through the elliptical arch, is set up as a billiard room, which is paneled in Black Walnut and East Indian Rosewood.

The Office now has built-in cabinets and desks and the fireplace has been clad with new tile and a mantel. Gone are the windows that were a dead giveaway of an addition to the house. The sliding glass door has been replaced with French doors and the beams have all been stained with a more rustic, grey finish.
