McDaniels Kitchen and BathPairing cream colored Medallion Silverline kitchen cabinets with a vibrant blue and gold color scheme, this kitchen design in Haslett achieves the ideal French country style. Cambria quartz countertops and Jeffrey Alexander hardware beautifully accent the cabinetry. August InteriorsThe homeowners, an eclectic and quirky couple, wanted to renovate their kitchen for functional reasons: the old floors, counters, etc, were dirty, ugly, and not usable; lighting was giant fluorescents, etc. While they wanted to modernize, they also wanted to retain a fun and retro vibe. So we modernized with functional new materials: quartz counters, porcelain tile floors. But by using bold, bright colors and mixing a few fun patterns, we kept it fun. Retro-style chairs, table, and lighting completed the look.

Un projet de rénovation assez atypique...car il a été mené par des étudiants architectes ! Notre cliente, qui travaille dans la mode, avait beaucoup de goût et s’est fortement impliquée dans le projet. Un résultat chiadé au charme méditerranéen.
Marion AlbergeAu pied du métro Saint-Placide, ce spacieux appartement haussmannien abrite un jeune couple qui aime les belles choses.
J’ai choisi de garder les moulures et les principaux murs blancs, pour mettre des touches de bleu et de vert sapin, qui apporte de la profondeur à certains endroits de l’appartement.
La cuisine ouverte sur le salon, en marbre de Carrare blanc, accueille un ilot qui permet de travailler, cuisiner tout en profitant de la lumière naturelle.
Des touches de laiton viennent souligner quelques détails, et des meubles vintage apporter un côté stylisé, comme le buffet recyclé en meuble vasque dans la salle de bains au total look New-York rétro.
Barley|Pfeiffer ArchitectureOur inspiration for this home was an updated and refined approach to Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Prairie-style”; one that responds well to the harsh Central Texas heat. By DESIGN we achieved soft balanced and glare-free daylighting, comfortable temperatures via passive solar control measures, energy efficiency without reliance on maintenance-intensive Green “gizmos” and lower exterior maintenance.
The client’s desire for a healthy, comfortable and fun home to raise a young family and to accommodate extended visitor stays, while being environmentally responsible through “high performance” building attributes, was met. Harmonious response to the site’s micro-climate, excellent Indoor Air Quality, enhanced natural ventilation strategies, and an elegant bug-free semi-outdoor “living room” that connects one to the outdoors are a few examples of the architect’s approach to Green by Design that results in a home that exceeds the expectations of its owners.

Brett Marlo Design BuildWe bumped out the kitchen and put in a wall of windows to the expansive view. We designed a wall to both create an entry nook, and house the refrigerator and upper cabinets. A drywall enclosure was designed to give the range balance and become the focal point of the kitchen. The island was custom-wrapped in stainless steel and a cantilevered oval high eating bar was installed to again take advantage of views. We specified layers of fun lighting.
