This dated kitchen was ready to be transformed by our magic wand! The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed to create one larger room with an island and space for a dining table. Our team of carpenters installed all new custom crafted cherry cabinets with Hanstone Serenity quartz countertops. Natural stone tile was installed for the backsplash and luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the room. All new Frigidaire Professional appliances in stainless were installed, including french door refrigerator, electric cooktop and range hood, a built-in wall oven, convection microwave oven and dishwasher.
Luxury well designed family kitchen in Lymington
Luxury well designed family kitchen in Lymington

A luxury well-designed family kitchen was desired for a young family in Lymington. Their previous kitchen was tired and dark so they chose the brand new range ‘Minster’ from Mackintosh on the new ‘Graphite’ coloured cabinet. The new cabinet fully co-ordinates with the drawers and accessories making for a real luxury feel. To add a further opulent touch Quartzforms Ma White 20mm worktops were added for an affordable yet durable finish. The kitchen has been meticulously planned for this busy young, family so that everything has a home and in an accessible fashion. There is a lovely double shelved larder for all the lunchboxes, home baking, cereals, cookbooks, mixers and blenders – helping to keep the kitchen tidy on a day to day basis for organised family living. With further ample wall unit storage for teas, coffees, mugs and biscuits and glassware. In addition, there are wide deep drawers for crockery, cutlery and pans and oven trays to keep them out of site when not in use. A Le mans corner unit has also been fitted for ease of access to the corner keeping the kitchen clutter free. Even the rubbish is hidden with built in double ins for refuse and recycling. A large American Style, Neff Fridge Freezer has been plumbed in to give ice cold filtered water on tap and Ice cubes on demand with plenty of space for groceries for the family. A double oven has been built in with a gas hob. As the owners are tall a caple extractor fan, sloping in design, is the perfect choice to ensure they don’t bang their head when cooking. Next to the hob are pull out trays for oils, herbs and spices. The integrated Bosch dishwasher makes light work of dirty dishes. An 1810 company undermount stainless steel sink was chosen with the Caple Avel Tap in chrome. For finishing touches a ‘feature brick tiled wall was added near the dining area along with Moduleo flooring which is comfortable underfoot, modern looking, and so easy to clean. Plus with a 25 year guarantee; for this family was the obvious affordable choice. The clients are over the moon with how this Kitchen works for their small family of Mum, Dad and two 6 year old children. Photos by Lia Vittone

A small microwave with a hanging kit was built into the wall cabinets. It's surrounded by medium stained maple cabinets and looks built in without the bulky trim kit. Hanging the microwave keeps it at eye level, gets it off the countertop, and looks more custom.

This Fowlerville kitchen remodel achieved a complete reconfiguration of the space for a total kitchen design update. By opening up a wall to the dining room we created a larger space with an improved layout, more efficient workflow, and improved storage options. The Medallion Cabinetry in a warm wood finish sets the tone for the design, and is beautifully complemented by Richelieu hardware, a Corian countertop, and porcelain tile backsplash. Behind the cabinet doors sits amazing customized storage solutions including a KitchenAid mixer cabinet and a specialized coffee station. The layout change also involved moving the sink to be positioned under the window, with a Delta faucet and Elkay sink.

When you find a home that meets most of your needs in a neighborhood you love, remodeling to make it more suitable for your family’s lifestyle can make that house your dream home. That’s what happened in this remodeling story. Our clients purchased a home built in 1983 with the plan to remodel the kitchen to suit their needs and tastes. The galley style kitchen was positioned at the center and rear of the main level and had an eat-in area at one end and a pantry at the opposite end. A small pass-through allowed view into the adjacent family room, but otherwise the two spaces were closed off from one another. The existing espresso stained cabinetry was attractive, but it darkened and narrowed the kitchen. The homeowners wanted the kitchen to feel more connected to the other main level living spaces. Creating more light and improving organization and storage were must haves for the new design. They also requested relocating the pantry from under the stairs and longed for a ventilation system that would vent the cooking smells outdoors rather than throughout the inside of the house. Our design involved removing a portion of wall between the kitchen and living room. This one change made it feel larger, more open and bright. It also connected the kitchen to the living room and allowed the two spaces to flow freely into one another. This new open area allowed us to extend the granite countertop to create a peninsula/bar that provides additional seating. To improve the existing lighting plan, we added new LED recessed lights, under-cabinet lighting, and pendant lighting over the peninsula. The selections were integral in making the kitchen feel lighter and larger. Our clients chose maple cabinetry with an oak stained tumbleweed finish paired with creamy granite countertops, and a pearl tumbled travertine backsplash. A few standout features include a set of floating shelves, concrete farmhouse sink, and mercury glass pendant lights. Flooring throughout the first floor was updated to an easy to maintain wood-look vinyl plank floor. Several new storage options were added including new cabinetry where the old pantry used to be, which accommodates the microwave in an upper cabinet as well as storage for small cooking appliances so they don’t take up space on the counters. There’s also a unique angled cabinet right next to the refrigerator. When the work was complete on this project we were very pleased that the design delivered exactly what the homeowners had envisioned. In addition, we were able to complete the construction without causing too much disturbance or disruption for the homeowners; one works the night shift, and was actually able to sleep during the day, and the other travels frequently for work and felt confident that the project was in good hands.

Putting the microwave in the island is something we often do. Most people don't use the microwave as much as they used to and seeing it being all bossy in the space is annoying. It also takes up valuable upper space. Maple island with a charcoal stain.

Lets open the space up! We remodeled this West Chester PA kitchen removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The new kitchen design brings the two spaces together. A garden window was installed over the sink area. Now the client can enjoy all their house plants and herb garden. Echelon Cabinetry was used in the Belleview door style in Maple wood with Café finish. The classic color of the cabinetry pairs well with the new Uptown Chic Posh Beige floating vinyl flooring that were installed throughout the new kitchen and 1st floor. White Delacatus granite and Sonoma Stellar smoke tile backsplash complete the look. All lighting was replaced with LED recessed lighting as well as adding LED under cabinetry task lighting. A small breakfront in matching cabinetry was installed in the new semi-formal eating area with custom wood top.
