Everything in the garden is chosen to create the overall effect, nothing is left to chance. Even the flashing that looks pretty nasty, the black colour has worn off, fits into the overall scene, matching the patina on the statue. Some of the mould on the statue was removed with a pressure hose and some left to blend in with the worn out areas where the underlying aggregate is showing through.
