We loved staging this room. We expected a white room, but when we walked in, we saw this accent wall color. By adding black and white wall art pieces, we managed to pull it off. These are real MCM furniture pieces and they fit into this new remodel beautifully.

REED DESIGN @ KCC
Jens Frederick Larson designed this large frat house living room in 1926. 80 years later we needed to take a chunk of the room away for practical reasons.
We also needed the room to feel cozier and more residential. We added the arched niche at the back wall to match Larson's arches, and for plumbing chases. The walls and ceilings were changed from stark white to soft colors that went with the stained oak trim. Our clients requested stained glass light fixtures, and these Kichler basketweave bowls have been a great fit.
The pilasters on the side walls originally had sconces, but they were long gone. With the rough textures wire lathe plaster it wasn't practical to put in new wiring. We did use sconces at the new niche.
Furniture maker Pompanoosuc Mills is located a few miles away. We picked some of their stock pieces, like the Windsor chairs and the coffee table. The side table was made to our design. We chose the leather and stain colors to fit the room.
We needed art for the niche for the photo shoot. This hooked rug wall hanging was designed and work by Margery Reed, based on an antique paisley shawl.

Down a private lane and sited on an oak studded lot, this charming Kott home has been transformed with contemporary finishes and clean line design. Vaulted ceilings create light filled spaces that open to outdoor living. Modern choices of Italian tiles combine with hardwood floors and newly installed carpets. Fireplaces in both the living and family room. Dining room with picture window to the garden. Kitchen with ample cabinetry, newer appliances and charming eat-in area. The floor plan includes a gracious upstairs master suite and two well-sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms downstairs. Solar, A/C, steel Future Roof and dual pane windows and doors all contribute to the energy efficiency of this modern design. Quality throughout allows you to move right and enjoy the convenience of a close-in location and the desirable Kentfield school district.

In this Minneapolis, MN Townhome the open concept Living Room had to blend with all the surrounding spaces while serving as a more formal seating area for guests. Brandi Hagen of Eminent Interior Design used two different sofas with similar fabrics along with a pair of matching armchairs to create the seating arrangement. Using beige and gray as the backgrounds for this Living Room, shades of green and blue were accented in the rug, pillows, artwork and fireplace accent wall. The over scaled stripe rug acts as an anchor to the room by pulling together the seating arrangement and defining the space in this open floor plan.

The Stonebridge Club is a fitness and meeting facility for the residences at The Pinehills. The 7,000 SF building sits on a sloped site. The two-story building appears if it were a one-story structure from the entrance.
The lower level meeting room features accordion doors that span the width of the room and open up to a New England picturesque landscape.
The main "Great Room" is centrally located in the facility. The cathedral ceiling showcase reclaimed wood trusses and custom brackets. The fireplace is a focal element when entering.
The main structure is clad with horizontal “drop" siding, typically found on turn-of-the-century barns. The rear portion of the building is clad with white-washed board-and-batten siding. Finally, the facade is punctuated with thin double hung windows and sits on a stone foundation.
This project received the 2007 Builder’s Choice Award Grand Prize from Builder magazine.
