New upholstry to existing built in Sofa

Transitional Living Room, Brisbane

Our client had an existing built in corner sofa/day bed and need a upgrade to the upholstery. They still wanted to keep it relaxed as it was primarily used as at TV room and break out for the kids. We recovered the seats and contrast piped the edges. The back cushions were new replaced as the existing we small ineffective. The newer bigger cushion provided a back rest and some height but still gave the client that very relaxed casual feel that they wanted. The dark, washable cotton fabric in a washed navy denim and proved a good option for the space. We added and few custom made scatter cushions in lighter blue tones and 3 sizes to lift the dark seat fabric without going over the top. The client wanted a classic look and did not want the existing room to feel precious or over done. We added a new custom made sisal rug in a washed grey herringbone again a hardwearing option with a relaxed look and feel. The client then hung her own artwork back over the completed sofa.
