This month we are showcasing this Open Rise Closed Metal Stringer Staircase. It was constructed using 42mm Solid Blue Gum treads fitted to a 200x10 Mild Steel stringer finished in a white powdercoat to match the existing windows, architraves and skirting used throughout. By using Mild Steel Stringers as the support we are able to minimise the width of the stringers providing the sleek appearance requested by our client. The 12mm frameless glass balustrade has been side-fixed to the stringer using 50mm Patch fittings with a 50x25 Stainless Steel Hollow Tube Handrail. A small 120mm capping has been used around the void edge, this provides a clean finishing point for each flight.
