Elizabeth Brosnan Hourihan Interiors
This 19th century shingle style home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean was completely restored and expanded. Elizabeth Brosnan Hourihan worked closely with the architectural staff of Carpenter & MacNeille on all aspects of the home’s interior detailing, customization and finishes. Ongoing throughout the process was the specification and procurement of fine furnishings, window treatments, rugs, lighting, artwork and accessories. Several of the furnishings were handmade in England and Italy and a number of pieces are antiques dating as far back as the 17th century and needleworks as early as 1550. There is an antique rug collection, an antique American book collection, antique silver flatware – with a signature engraving on all the pieces, antique stemware and porcelain dishes. The art collection is from renowned Cape Ann artists from the 19th and 20th centuries including Quarterly, Chaet, and Gruppe.

Dream Home Design USA
This Florida Gulf home was built on a narrow lot which required a narrow disposition and thus the inspiration for a Venetian style Palazzo. The main living areas are on the second and third floors while the first is utilitarian, as the period model. Built at a cost of over $3M the owners are now starting to add furnishings, but also are offering the mansion for sale. See contact info on web page.
Features include characteristic gothic arches and a single loaded front exterior stairway with carved stone accents. Wood corbels and brackets offer a contrast to the finely detailed stone carved baluster and columns at the front porch. The rear of the house boasts a two story porch with a myriad of windows to capture the fantastic views.
A Palladian inspired two story domed Great Room is the centerpiece of the house. A delicate curving stairway connects both floors detailed with metal and ceramic. Interior stone carved door surrounds and mid level landing window treatment are exquisite.
The nearly 10,000 SF design also has an elevator and secondary stairs. Formal Living and Dining, Study, Island Kitchen with Breakfast area and bread oven, Media Room, and four bedrooms. 4 car garage, fountain courtyard, Game room and storage on ground floor.

A cramped butler's pantry was opened up into a bar area with plenty of storage space and adjacent to a wine cooler. Bar countertop is Petro Magma Granite, cabinets are Brookhaven in Ebony on Oak. Other cabinets in the kitchen are white on maple; the contrast is a nice way to separate space within the same room.

STEPHEN FLETCHER ARCHITECTS
We were commissioned to transform a large run-down flat occupying the ground floor and basement of a grand house in Hampstead into a spectacular contemporary apartment.
The property was originally built for a gentleman artist in the 1870s who installed various features including the gothic panelling and stained glass in the living room, acquired from a French church.
Since its conversion into a boarding house soon after the First World War, and then flats in the 1960s, hardly any remedial work had been undertaken and the property was in a parlous state.
