This home’s color palette continues in this sitting room, with an aqua pearlescent metallic trim setting the tone for its bright feel. Featuring metallic silver columns, an Oushak rug, ipe hardwood flooring, a pulley style ceiling fan and woven wood blinds, the room incorporates gentle pops of turquoise throughout. At the room’s heart is its mirrored cocktail table, mid-century chairs and sofa upholstered in aqua blue. The final detail is a vintage silver metallic fish accessory.

Open to the gardens on one side and the ocean on the other, it's hard to find a less than stunning view from the Media Room chairs.

Like a midsummer’s garden overflowing with vibrant zinnias, daylilies and snapdragons, this crayon-box-bright rug is covered wall to wall in flowers. Its dark navy ground makes the colors really pop, while the masses of small-scale flowers give this hooked rug great detail. It will turn any room into an instant garden. Shown with Company C's Parker Sofa, Westport Ottoman, Windowpane and July pillows.

A large space that was made narrow by a second staircase. We took the stairs out and turned it into the principle gathering space for the family, combining the functionalities of living room, great room, family room and media room.

The living room in this Bloomfield Hills residence was a part of a whole house renovation and addition, completed in 2016. Within the living room are signature paintings, artifacts, and furniture pieces that complement the eclectic taste of the client. The design of the room started off of a single centerline; on one end is a full-masonry fireplace and on the other is a signature 8' by 8' charity auction painting. This colorful painting helps liven up the room while providing focal point when entering the room. These two elements anchor the room, allowing focal points on both walls while accentuating the view to the back yard through three sets of French doors. The décor and furniture complements that of the artwork and artifacts, allowing the room to feel cohesive and inviting.
Kraft Custom Construction
Built from the ground up on 80 acres outside Dallas, Oregon, this new modern ranch house is a balanced blend of natural and industrial elements. The custom home beautifully combines various materials, unique lines and angles, and attractive finishes throughout. The property owners wanted to create a living space with a strong indoor-outdoor connection. We integrated built-in sky lights, floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings to attract ample, natural lighting. The master bathroom is spacious and features an open shower room with soaking tub and natural pebble tiling. There is custom-built cabinetry throughout the home, including extensive closet space, library shelving, and floating side tables in the master bedroom. The home flows easily from one room to the next and features a covered walkway between the garage and house. One of our favorite features in the home is the two-sided fireplace – one side facing the living room and the other facing the outdoor space. In addition to the fireplace, the homeowners can enjoy an outdoor living space including a seating area, in-ground fire pit and soaking tub.

Our clients wished for a complete room and furnishings update, with the baker's rack as the only item that had to remain in the space. They wanted a formal space for entertaining that was comfortable enough for everyday use.
We added crema marfil tiles to the fireplace surround. We repainted the walls and added a contrasting band of color to the ceiling to break up the wide, flat expanse of the original white ceiling. Long drapery panels add vertical drama to the space. The fact that they are hung much higher than the window is concealed by a mock roman shade. Layers of accessories and art add to the casual elegance of the room.

Comfortable. Simple. Luxurious. Livable. These were the key design directives for this elegant living room. New custom furniture in exquisite fabrics, a custom library cabinet, a Ligne Pure rug, petrified tree stumps tables and many other artful elements bring the room to life. The custom Rosewood fireplace surround with Italian glass mosaic elements warms the room. Furniture design by Scott Neste.
Visbeen Architects
As a cottage, the Ridgecrest was designed to take full advantage of a property rich in natural beauty. Each of the main houses three bedrooms, and all of the entertaining spaces, have large rear facing windows with thick craftsman style casing. A glance at the front motor court reveals a guesthouse above a three-stall garage. Complete with separate entrance, the guesthouse features its own bathroom, kitchen, laundry, living room and bedroom. The columned entry porch of the main house is centered on the floor plan, but is tucked under the left side of the homes large transverse gable. Centered under this gable is a grand staircase connecting the foyer to the lower level corridor. Directly to the rear of the foyer is the living room. With tall windows and a vaulted ceiling. The living rooms stone fireplace has flanking cabinets that anchor an axis that runs through the living and dinning room, ending at the side patio. A large island anchors the open concept kitchen and dining space. On the opposite side of the main level is a private master suite, complete with spacious dressing room and double vanity master bathroom. Buffering the living room from the master bedroom, with a large built-in feature wall, is a private study. Downstairs, rooms are organized off of a linear corridor with one end being terminated by a shared bathroom for the two lower bedrooms and large entertainment spaces.

This uber cool room was designed in keeping with the personality of a young gentleman with an exquisite taste. The eccentric personality of the client was the inspiration as well as motivation to go all out with a raw, rustic theme for this room. The bold natural textures present in this room add a charming persona into the room.
Creating this theme for a teenage boy demanded a skewed thought process and out-of-the-box thinking. Pairing cement texture that is strong in its personality yet subtle in its appearance with sycamore burl horizontal veneer resulted in a vibe like that of a super-cool bachelor pad. Continuing the texture to the ceiling as well completes the look and enhances the overall ambiance of the space.
The black metal rods used for the fabricated study unit, metal profiles for the wardrobes complement the colors and textures in the room and exuberate strength and structure, appreciating the love for fitness in the client.
The profile light running from the bedside and onto the ceiling throughout the length of the room heightens the drama to the next level. The play of lights on the combination of the various materials and textures creates an almost surreal and picturesque image.
The balcony was designed as a twist on the raw and rustic theme of the bedroom. Natural materials were used but to create a cozier environment that was fresh and connects with the environment outside yet not completely detached with the inside.

Innovative Wine Cellar Designs
For this makeover project, the Scottsdale homeowner purchased a home that had an oddly shaped laundry room right near the front entrance. This turned out to be the perfect space in the house to convert into a custom wine cellar to hold the homeowner's 2,500-bottle collection. We transformed every inch of the 12' by 12' room into a spectacular custom wine cellar in about one and a half months. To add to the uniqueness of this project, we created one-of-a-kind wine racks made from reclaimed wine barrels and mahogany.
