Space was at a premium in this 1930s bedroom refurbishment, so textured panelling was used to create a headboard no deeper than the skirting, while bespoke birch ply storage makes use of every last millimeter of space. The circular cut-out handles take up no depth while relating to the geometry of the lamps and mirror. UN PASILLO LATERAL RECONVERTIDO EN SALÓN EXTERIOR En este proyecto de salón exterior, la parcela presentaba una configuración clásica en ELE de chalet pareado. Las calidades son bonitas y el aplacado en piedra junto con el hormigón de los forjados nos daban la posibilidad de contrastar con la calidez de la madera, el acero corten y el tono oscuro de las gravas que nos gustan. El corredor lateral no invitaba al uso, pero tenía dimensión suficiente para crear una habitación exterior resguardada del calor intenso de la tarde, disfrutando de una orientación casi norte. En España en general, pero en las zonas continentales aún más, es crucial disponer de varias orientaciones en el jardín para maximizar el uso durante el año. La zona principal del jardín, a la salida del salón, está más expuesta al sol de la tarde, con lo que la hemos reservado más para la vida nocturna y los días invernales. Para competir con la valla de simple torsión hemos plantado un seto de photinia que crece a una velocidad considerable y no presenta enfermedades, aportando además variedad de colores verdes y rojizos que nos encantan en la paleta de color del jardín. Hemos conseguido desviar la atención desde los tres metros de altura de la valla al suelo, gracias a los parterres y la celosía lateral, con lo que la espera hasta que los setos alcancen la altura de la valla se hace más agradable.

Continuando con el comedor -salón, para esta ultima zona, se eligieron jugar con los tonos para darle profundidad y sensación de amplitud, pintando las columnas, sobre todo una grande enfrente justo de la entrada, en un azul cobalto grisáceo, y un papel geométrico en tonos azules y dorados, con el mobiliario anclado a la pared y la televisión fijada en un soporte, dando sensación de volumen, El sofá en tono crema, con dos cojines, uno en terracota y otro en cobre, igual que una manta, hacían resaltar el sofá, y mas cuando se colocaron dos cuadros en tonos plata, oro, y cobre, junto con pinceladas azules y naranjas.. Se eligieron unas mesitas de centro, una dentro de la otra, las cuales separamos, para colocar la alta y mas estrecha, con tapa de madera, para colocar una lampara de pie efecto mármol veteado y pantalla circular alta, con luz cálida. Las paredes se pintaron con el mismo tono que la parte elegida para el comedor, y un juego de 2 estanterías largas y otra mediana, en tono nórdico, haya blanca, en la pared de apertura de la puerta, para colgar fotos, y elementos decorativos o libros, terminaban de dar el toque de calidez y armonía, a la vez de la sensación de profundidad que pretendíamos dar y que creo que se consiguió.

This kitchen is full of colour and pattern clashes and we love it! This kitchen is full of tricks to make the most out of all the space. We have created a breakfast cupboard behind 2 pocket doors to give a sense of luxury to the space. A hidden extractor is a must for us at Studio Dean, and in this property it is hidden behind the peach wooden latting. Another feature of this space was the bench seat, added so the client could have their breakfasts in the morning in their new kitchen. We love how playful and fun this space in!

A bespoke cedar bench with in-built storage sits on a patio laid with stretcher bond clay pavers. A cedar trellis provides privacy, and built-in raised beds allows for climbing plants and specimen shrubs.

Ce duplex de 100m² en région parisienne a fait l’objet d’une rénovation partielle par nos équipes ! L’objectif était de rendre l’appartement à la fois lumineux et convivial avec quelques touches de couleur pour donner du dynamisme. Nous avons commencé par poncer le parquet avant de le repeindre, ainsi que les murs, en blanc franc pour réfléchir la lumière. Le vieil escalier a été remplacé par ce nouveau modèle en acier noir sur mesure qui contraste et apporte du caractère à la pièce. Nous avons entièrement refait la cuisine qui se pare maintenant de belles façades en bois clair qui rappellent la salle à manger. Un sol en béton ciré, ainsi que la crédence et le plan de travail ont été posés par nos équipes, qui donnent un côté loft, que l’on retrouve avec la grande hauteur sous-plafond et la mezzanine. Enfin dans le salon, de petits rangements sur mesure ont été créé, et la décoration colorée donne du peps à l’ensemble.
