LTB DesignsThis family wanted a room where the newest addition to the family could grow up in without having to change "themes" every couple of years. Mom & Dad already had most of the furniture. They just needed a few finishing touches to pull everything together..
We incorporated art that his big sisters created for that personal family touch. Birch trees, sticks and stones, rustic lighting and several animals all help to create a rugged yet playful feel to the space. A big cozy chair finishes it all off.

The Jenny Lind-style crib is outfitted in DwellStudio Woodland Tumble bedding. Many vintage pieces were incorporated into the design, including an antique lawyers bookshelf that houses toys and books and a mid-century credenza repurposed as a changing table.
Designs By Des InteriorsThe "Mystical Fairy Play & Nursery" project are two rooms that coincide with another. The first room is a nursery that will eventually turn into a big girls room when these twins transition. The second room is their playroom which will eventually become the other bedroom for one of the girls. In the meantime, it is the place where their imagination can run wild and be inspired through representational art. This project was full of color, vibrancy, and creativity!

StudioLABA young couple with three small children purchased this full floor loft in Tribeca in need of a gut renovation. The existing apartment was plagued with awkward spaces, limited natural light and an outdated décor. It was also lacking the required third child’s bedroom desperately needed for their newly expanded family. StudioLAB aimed for a fluid open-plan layout in the larger public spaces while creating smaller, tighter quarters in the rear private spaces to satisfy the family’s programmatic wishes. 3 small children’s bedrooms were carved out of the rear lower level connected by a communal playroom and a shared kid’s bathroom. Upstairs, the master bedroom and master bathroom float above the kid’s rooms on a mezzanine accessed by a newly built staircase. Ample new storage was built underneath the staircase as an extension of the open kitchen and dining areas. A custom pull out drawer containing the food and water bowls was installed for the family’s two dogs to be hidden away out of site when not in use. All wall surfaces, existing and new, were limited to a bright but warm white finish to create a seamless integration in the ceiling and wall structures allowing the spatial progression of the space and sculptural quality of the midcentury modern furniture pieces and colorful original artwork, painted by the wife’s brother, to enhance the space. The existing tin ceiling was left in the living room to maximize ceiling heights and remain a reminder of the historical details of the original construction. A new central AC system was added with an exposed cylindrical duct running along the long living room wall. A small office nook was built next to the elevator tucked away to be out of site.

Caden LaneScarlett's coral, aqua, and gold vintage lace nursery is designed and inspired around Caden Lane's Coral and Gold Sparkle Baby Bedding. The mommy-to-be, Amy, mixed and matched the bedding to make a beautiful bedding collection with a coral and gold sparkle crib sheet, white lace ruffle crib skirt, and coral and gold aqua floral bumpers. The walls are painted to match the bumpers with adorable hand painted flowers and gold triangles to match the fabric of the bumpers! Amy did many DIY projects in her nursery to incorporate the gold accents - lace dressers, gold crib, glitter wood name, gold sealing medallion, and the gold mirror! She used gold spray paint to do most of these projects :) Scarlett's nursery is definitely one for the books!
