The purpose of this co-working space is to provide an affordable space for individual practitioners to rent and provide opportunities for interaction with other creative industry professionals. The rent of these office spaces are usually scaled depending on the service provided, from hot-desks to permanent workstations with phone answering and full secretarial services. These spaces are a more sustainable option for sole practitioners or start-up organizations. This project addresses sustainable issues in a way that maximizes the natural resources and minimize the emissions in the building. Creating a building that uses passive design techniques that minimizes interstitial condensation, thermal bridging and air filtration, and the placement of glazing that will optimize thermal performance, acoustic performance, indoor environment quality, and recycled content based on its standards of life-cycle and durability.
