Traditional Kitchen - New Construction

As you can see, this was one large kitchen! It took some advanced space planning to make sure that it didn't feel either cavernous or overdone. Our clients were huge entertainers and wanted a professional quality kitchen with enough space that having a large group didn't hinder the cooking and serving process. The room expands into one of the family rooms, and since these clients had very small children at the time, we used the second island as covert storage area for a television, toys, and books to keep them entertained and contained! This project was a semi-finalist in the Best Kitchen category of the 2010 Portland Interior Design Society Distinct Style Awards competition.
