This Small wine cellar was converted from a client’s previous home study. This was a complete conversion including all the site build work, M&E and cabinetry manufacturing. It was completed just four weeks from strip out to hand over to our very happy client. The timber finish is a pre-laminated board with an edging finish.

This beautiful wine cellar started life as a boring bedroom. We bricked in a window and designed the cabinetry to provide extensive wine storage including a display section. Cabinetry also conceals a fully integrated fridge drawer and an integrated dishwasher. We carried the European Oak parquetry flooring throughout the house including this wine cellar and finished it with a French bleed. The raw edges to the solid Jarrah benchtop and the half wine barrel (incorporating secret storage) give the overall design a slightly rustic edge, particularly when juxtaposed against the rich red and gold flock wallpaper, gold ceiling, Lee Broom crystal pendant light and brass cabinetry hardware.

View of the wine wall which was designed to hold and display 128 bottles of wine! The glazed doors on either side of the wine wall were crafted from Accoya wood and finished in house with Farrow & Ball Railings, while the cabinets were made from walnut. Once crafted, the central carcasses were fitted with a series of solid brass bars—slotted in by hand. This complemented the brass inlay which was inserted throughout the panels.
To finish off this centrepiece, an antique mirror effect wallpaper was fitted on the back wall to create a sense of opulence and to reflect light around the room. This beautifully complimented the stunning Nero Marquina stone worktop and the Armac Martin solid brass handles on the doors.
