We hired Alison in 2022 to design our new bathroom. We wanted a complete overhaul and had some basic ideas but didn’t really know where to start. Alison helped us every step of the way, transforming our basic ideas into an amazing design, resulting in a beautiful and functional bathroom. Alison’s service was exceptional from start to finish - ideas, designs, materials and measurements. We couldn’t have been happier with the result and highly recommend Alison/Naibu Design.

Its always wonderful when you find a designer like Alison who 'gets you'. Alison is a careful listener and has an amazing ability to interpret your goals and bring to reality your dream interiors. Alison helped me to refresh the whole of our home internally ( a heritage listed 1880 workers cottage in Surry Hills). From design concept and product selection right through the build process. She assisted in finding the right builder, ordering all the products (and passed on any trade discounts!) and took over general coordination when I found myself overseas for an extended period of time while the renovation was taking place. I have done numerous renovations over the years and I have to say this has been the best experience thanks to Alison. Highly recommend her work and I'm looking forward to working with her again on our next project.

We got an excellent service from Alison: Alison paid attention to what we wanted, was clear and helpful in her recommendations and she helped us create a kitchen / living that is both very practical and live-able as well as being very aesthetically pleasing: it just looks beautiful and is very functional for our family. Alison also paid attention to our budget which was reassuring. Very happy with the result as we will be living with it for many years to come!

Alison helped me finalise my vision and design the kitchen of my dreams. She helped me narrow down my colours, style and layout that best worked for my space. Without her help, I could have selected materials and colours that would not have complemented my overall interior colour scheme and could have been a disaster. When Alison came to assist us with our design for our house build we were completely overwhelmed and really didn't know where to start, we had lots of ideas, lots of photos and Pinterest pics but the design just wasn't coming together. After an initial consultation with Alison not only were all our concerns addressed but we had a design theme and were ready to start working with Alison. Alison designed our kitchen, living / dining, bedroom, WIR , ensuite and children's bathrooms and helped us source all our interiors and aligned with our budget. We are nearing completion of our build and Alison's measurements and design attention to detail has been impeccable- even our builder has complimented Alison's detailed designs making it so much easier to build. Alison from Naibu was extremely helpful and flexible when we planned our 2nd storey addition and renovation. She was happy to help with all aspects of our planning and ordering stages- including assisting with managing budget. She was an excellent 2nd opinion and go-between (when my husband and I didn’t always agree!), she had the perfect solution. Her attention to detail, efficiency and and reasonable rates, plus access to her trade discounted relationships meant the whole experience with Naibu was time and cost saving, fun and definitely recommendable. I had the pleasure of working with Alison in 2018 on the project of renovating my 1 bedroom apartment in Tamarama NSW, which involved completely changing the look and feel of the apartment including knocking through a wall, and I was so pleased with the end result. From beginning to end, Alison was fantastic. After an in depth on site discussion, she presented her ideas demonstrating her excellent listening skills and her creative but realistic flair. She is extremely intuitive and had an amazing ability to be able to manage me (and my indecisive nature!) very well, always staying patient and able to come up with alternatives when necessary.. Alison truly cares and goes above and beyond, she would often send me information and ideas at all times of the day or night, showing she was constantly thinking about getting things just right. She is very conscious about staying on brief and on budget, and her attention to detail, genuine nature and honesty is refreshing. I would highly recommend Alison and loved working with her.
