A warning story for anyone new to the interior design process: My experience was simply put.... unimaginative. Amy Youngblood Interiors was a leap of faith for me, my first experience with hiring an Interior designer. I choose them because they had such great reviews on Google and other sites. I believe my experience differed a lot because I was wanting to be involved with the process. Upon doing my due diligence to make sure the items were at a price point i was comfortable with and had the functionality that i desired seemed to be a big issue. I'm not quite sure if this was seen as over-stepping but i work hard for my money and want to make sure it was working hard for me too. The red flag was wanting to spend almost 17% of the budget before the contractors had even put in their bid on window treatments. *The key lesson here is that they will ONLY source from their vendors* The only reason i can foresee for this is they must be incentivized. This to me meant immediately they weren't playing for my team. As much as i really wanted help on this project, it seems that i will be on my own because i won't step away and keep writing checks. All together this was a $1100 lesson to learn. I'm hoping i can save someone else the cost. *The last point to make was the I had asked for us to meet to discuss the differences in person, this was also seen as excess burden and i promptly received an email telling me that our business was concluded. I'm sure that there is a lot going on in the world of interior design in Cincinnati, but terminating any business relationship via email makes sure that your client and potential future clients know the value you put on them. Hoping to hear back from you and i'm open to changing this review upon better insights from Amy Youngblood Interiors.

Amy helped us with the renovation of 2 full bathrooms in our home. She had good contacts and relationships with tile, cabinetry and stone providers and a good relationship with our contractor. She understood our needs and preferred style, and helped with a beautiful update that was complimentary to the period of our house. She has fantastic taste and a gift in choosing color and fabric. She relieved a lot of stress during a big renovation investment, was very accessible, professional and warm.

Amy was attentive and respected our tastes and budget. We were very happy with the finished product and intend to use her in the future.

Amy has been great to work with. She's helped me bring my vision for converting a traditional living room/dining room into a billiards room and lounge. Amy listened to me and looked at the rest of my house to get a sense of my style. She's done a great job of understanding what I like and then designing for that. We've partnered through the whole process -- layout, furniture selection, paint colors, and lighting. Our last step is find some artwork to round out the space. I highly recommend Amy as a consummate professional who has great taste.

Amy was right on target with my style and taste. She knew right away what I liked and what I didn't like. It was easy and she had some great ideas that added that "special" touch. I could not have done it on my own. My husband recommended her and I'm so happy he did!

Shortly after purchasing a home in Liberty Township, I needed an interior decorator to assist me with window treatment and custom bedding all while accenting the adjacent bathroom. Amy has an amazing gift to be able to understand ones tastes as well as selecting the material and product that made my room come together very well. I really appreciate the follow up as well.

Amy designed my living room from the ground up and also played a key role in my dining room and kitchen remodel. She listened to me, understood my personal style, determined what elements were missing/needed and took it from there. The results are amazing!! The spaces visually flow together and yet retain their individuality. Amy's design experience combined with excellent customer service makes her the winner in my book!

I'm an art gallery owner and art dealer in Cincinnati Ohio. We have a special room called Cincinnati Design Star in the gallery where we showcase the work of some of the best interior designers in the city. I recently invited Amy Schuermann to create a space for us. Well, she really came through with an amazing design. It was an outdoor inspired room called "Urban Oasis." She pulled together furnishings that not only looked beautiful but were also comfortable and inviting. I really loved the artwork she selected because it added warmth and coordinated perfectly to unify the entire room I was also impressed with her dedication to this project. Besides having a great eye for design, she is incredibly hard working and doesn't stop until the job is done right. If I was in need of professional interior designer, I would definitely call Amy of Amy Schuermann Interiors.
