ArteLivingStudio has been around for decades now. And I have known Gary for over 10 years. Over the course of the 2 flats which Gary has renovated for me. My overall commentary would be that I have never had to worry about the entire renovation process pre and post renovation. Gary has always taken personal ownership of my renovations and project managed it very well. Where there are slip-ups or miscommunication, Gary is very responsive and rectifies it promptly. If it is not possible or against HDB regulations, Gary communicates that clearly and offers alternatives. What comes across strongly is Gary’s dedication to quality. While quality does not come cheap, Gary makes it a point to communicate the range of options and why he recommends those materials. Leaves the choice to us as the buyers. Gary is also cognizant of maintenance effort and takes that into consideration for the homeowners. Such insight is invaluable and helps us consider both design as well as maintenance sustainability. Having made the decision to go “maid-less”, such attention to details post renovation are very useful. Gary is also not one to be calculative. I have found him to be open, flexible and reasonable during discussion, especially during budget planning as well as project management. These attributes are crucial in my opinion in any designer/contractor because these translate to trust. In any huge investments such as renovation of your dream house, trust would be crucial. Gary is one such person where I could trust his workmanship and integrity to get the job done to satisfaction.
