Greg's work is amazing! We contacted him because we saw his work at the Landing in Renton. Greg came out, gave us an estimate and completed the work on time. He listened and took the time to answer all our questions (we had many, many questions). We had several bids on this project and went with Greg because he was confident and an expert in this space compared to others we talked to. We get compliments on our gas fireplace every time we have visitors.

Custom Fire Art did a great job on our remodel. Their team reviewed all the possible fireplace options and features and installed on time. Since this was a remodel, there are always unforeseen issues. Greg quickly identified the challenges and provided us with options to correct (either by him, or others if we wished.) I was given Custom Fire Arts name from the manufacturer of a linear fire system. My fireplace had not worked for some time due to an improper original installation from another company. Greg came in and evaluated the problem. He was able to fix the issues caused by the other contractor without disrupting the entire fireplace. He made recommendations on how to improve the raised fireplace. He listened to what we wanted to see (and not see). It is always great when a company listens to the customer and provides great service. Greg was on time - communicated well - and a good conversationalist. I would recommend his company to anyone wanting to install or repair a gas fireplace system

Greg did a wonderful job on my fireplace. He came out, showed me samples and alternatives, and put together a warm and beautiful modern fireplace. I use it all the time and can't imagine my home without it. Greg is very different from the other places. I had gone to 3 other shops in Seattle and Bellevue. They were all reluctant to advise on what looks best in the space and didn't handle non standard solutions as well. Greg is competitive price wise with far far superior service. I couldn't be happier with my fireplace.

Greg helped me pick up the most beautiful floating fireplace that was available on the market at the time (Lucius 140 room divider by Element4.nl) From start to finish I enjoyed working with Greg. First of all this was part of a much larger landscape design project we decided to tackle this year after 10-15 years of putting our ideas together. Greg was referred to us by our landscape design team and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. We provided our ideas to Greg and he delivered with his team. SInce the completion of this project the fire pit has been a focal point in our backyard where family spends time around an amazing fire. I manage a downtown Seattle 13 story condominium w a roof top deck and a Fire Pit feature. The building is 5 years old and the fire pit has never worked correctly. We are just a couple of blocks off of the water and the wind can be fierce. The pit never could stay lit in the wind or rain. After contacting several vendors in the Seattle area . I found Greg Barthels of Custom Fire Art . Greg came out looked at the existing pit asked some questions and within the next couple of day Greg had a quote in my e-mail . We had Greg install his product and i must say the fir pit preforms beautifully . We have had several windy days since the install and the pit works great. the old system would never have stood up to the wind that Greg's install has .
