Brad and BkM Contracting have done a number of significant jobs for me and my wife including converting a garage into a beautiful first-floor bedroom with a bathroom, comprehensively updating of a den including installation of highlights, new flooring, and painting that brought an inherently dark and gloomy room into the light, and a reconstituting of a water damaged kitchen and total replacement of a gutted main floor bathroom necessitated by flooding due to a broken water pipe.
He also gutted and modernized my daughter's kitchen and living room area as well as adding a new beautiful family room for her family's use.
On every job, and with all details, Brad worked with my wife and me to ensure our satisfaction through the quality of work done, the manner in which the work was done, and the outcomes, all excellent, that were produced.
Brad and his crew were professional at all times. All gentlemen, they were polite, considerate, and eager to please. We've found from earlier experiences, that this is not always the case with other contractors and their crews.
Brad was always available to answer any questions, to calmly make valuable and appreciated suggestions, and to make changes, even on the spur of the moment, as we requested.
An incident that speaks to Brad's commitment to his clients even after the job has been done, is worth noting. Last winter, while my wife and I were in Florida, a water pipe broke and began to flood our house here on Long Island. Luckily my daughter was checking on the house when the pipe burst. After getting the main water valve turned off, she called Brad and, after explaining what happened, asked for guidance. Without hesitation, Brad drove over to the house, inspected the damage, and called me in Florida to discuss what next steps I might take. His advice was sound and, even at 1100 miles away my wife and I were able to begin to deal with the situation.
Brad was not doing a job for us at the time and there was no expectation of work in the future. He had no obligation to come over to look at the house or to call me but did so as a result of the relationship that developed between us from the earlier work he'd done for us.
Both my wife and I give Brad our highest recommendation and, when and if the need arises, would not hesitate to use his excellent services again.
