BREYER CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPE is a family-owned residential remodeling company with over a decade of experience. While we are a "full service" residential remodeling company, our focus is on working with our clients to create the perfect "backyard escape". Our primary service is designing and building custom composite and vinyl/PVC decks using decking and railing from the top brands, such as Trex®, TimberTech®, Fiberon®, Moisture Shield®, Wolf, and Azek®. The team members at Breyer individually retain active memberships with the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, and receive frequent training and certifications to improve their skills, keep up with industry advancements, and assure a comprehensive knowledge of deck products. We also offer residential remodeling services such as finished basements, small additions, garages, and even total home renovations for the investor or homeowner who is looking to drastically remodel an entire home. Whether it's for your own residence, or for an investment property, we can run all or part of the project, with terms and agreements tailored to your exact needs. The landscape & hardscape division focuses on designing and building residential patios, retaining walls, and walkways using EP Henry®, Nicolock, and Cambridge products. We love our deck! It is beautiful! The Breyer team is hardworking and take a lot of pride in what they do. Matt was patient and helpful with the design process. Ryan kept us informed every step of the way during construction and the crew was so hardworking and respectful! They never left a mess at the end of the day, great bunch of guys!

From start to finish Breyer Construction was top notch! They worked with us to come up with a deck design we liked and within our budget. Everything was written down clearly and the workers arrived early, worked hard and in my opinion were done in record time. I just love this extra living space that has been added to my back yard. I recommend Breyers construction to everyone.

Fantastic company to work with. Everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. I was under a tight time restraint to have my deck put on for our home sale and they took care of everything and had the job done within a month. I did not have to handle permits or inspections. Breyer construction handled everything in a very trusting, professional manner. I would strongly recommend this company for any landscaping or construction projects.

Our family was extremely happy with Breyer. From the first phone call that we made to the office to the follow up emails upon completion of the project, the staff was very polite, highly responsive and professional. Our screened porch and patio are gorgeous and the perfect addition to our home. Breyer completed the project in an appropriate amount of time and I never had to worry about messes left behind. Could we have gotten the porch done for less money? Most likely but I never once worried about the quality of work and the finished product has assured me that our money was well spent.

They are EXCEPTIONAL! My family came home to a beautifully installed deck. It adds extra space to our kitchen eating area. While we were on vacation Matt and his team worked on our deck and kept communication via email each step of the way. We've looked at many construction companies and nothing compares to Breyer Construction. They are fair and honest and will drive you in the right direction. I will keep in contact with them for any future work! Thank you oh so much Breyer Construction!!

We hired BREYER CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPE in 2014, to put a deck on our house in Honey Brook, Pa. Matt Breyer came to our home and spent enough time with us to learn what we wanted and share his portfolio of completed projects, all done with an eye for design and function. Digital drawings of our house and proposed deck followed shortly thereafter. We now have a beautiful deck and a corner pergola that he added last year. It was a pleasure to have BREYER CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPE on site. His staff conducted themselves in a most professional way.

Backyard project and fence Crew showed up on first with no supervision and was going to tear down my neighbors fence. Luckily had not left for work and was able to stop them. Pad for new shed was built in wrong place and new wood was just put on top of old wood. Old wood was supposed to have been removed before starting. To place concrete sidewalk removed way more topsoil of yard then was told. The day the fence arrived it was the wrong fence. Supposed to solid they delivered picket fence, once again lucky was at home. Had grass removed to put in river rocks. Was told chemical would be put on grass and then burnt so grass would be gone. Chemical applied but never burnt. Weed fabric installation was joke had to call back three times to have them come back. Still missed the same spots. Finally had to do ourselves. When doing the weed fabric discovered fence crew augered through drain pipe. Had river rocks deliverered for side and alley. Just dumped rocks in alley. What a mess. Project manager thought it was acceptable. Also had top of fence post crushed was told they would be back the next day to replace it and take care of topsoil in backyard and reseed. Did not see anyone for 3 weeks. When emailed the president he responded with a less than proffessional answer, "I should not be a jerk to my fellow man". Really, what a great response. My backyard is still half dirt. Do not use these people for your construction needs. Very unproffesional, no follow skills, no supervision.

We are truly sorry that this client feels their expectations have not been met. They hired us several times for various projects over the last 2 years, starting with a substantial kitchen and finished basement upgrade, before moving on to some exterior projects earlier this year.
For this most recent projects we met with them numerous times in order to answer questions, explain the construction process, address concerns, and come up with viable solutions that they agreed to at the time. All issues mentioned were addressed this past August, but unfortunately, no matter what we have done, offered, or explained, we have been unable to keep them happy.
It would be unprofessional for us to comment on specific correspondence with any client. We can, however, say that this particular client has required several hundred emails and phone calls, which is substantially more than what we normally see for projects like this. We stand by our work, will always honor our warranty, and will not “trash” a past client. Our goal is to assist in any way possible to deliver the finished results that exceed expectations and provide unmatched customer service.

WE hired Breyer Construction to build a new deck (2 tiers, composite material, with light and pergola). Matt was extremely professional from beginning to end. The estimate was very clear and it was easy to work with him to modify the project to match exactly what we had in mind. They stayed on schedule and we were always informed of the progress by email if we did not have direct contact. WE were extremely pleased with the result and would hire them without any hesitation!
