With a strong background in horticulture and a natural rapport with people, some bright orange branding, a cheeky logo featuring an Orangutan giving the thumbs up sign founder Brent Phipps soon found his small business quickly became one of Byron’s leading Lawn & Maintenance businesses, offering exceptional customer service and high quality craftsmanship. The business organically extended their services into include landscape design and construction, carrying over the high values that led the company to its current success. This dynamic team is committed to the plight to save the Orangutan’s in Borneo, without help they are rapidly heading towards extinction. Bringing public awareness to the needs of these amazing creatures was also the inspiration behind the quirky branding and business name of Byron Bay Ranga. A portion of the profits from all Byron Bay Ranga businesses are donated to Planet Funder, a not-for- profit organization self-declared to be ‘dedicated to the protection of the Earth’s remaining rainforests, in partnership with the indigenous people and local communities that depend on them’.
