We contracted Mr Brent Reid now of Candeo Design to design and oversee a complete garden makeover for a Brutalist inspired architect-designed house built in 1975. The brief required landscaping organic to our home’s design and times. We found in Brent a talented designer who was both responsive to our requirements and principled in his approach. We enjoyed a very good professional relationship with him - clients and designer working together towards a common goal. The front deck is just one of the many satisfying examples of Brent’s interpretation of our brief. He designed an angular front deck that extends boldly into the garden. Built with variable-width timber paling arranged randomly. The now weathered grey of the merbau timber blends beautifully with the grey of our home’s Besser blocks and two matching Adirondack chairs (which he helped us find). The overall visual impact is in a word: organic. Just as we had asked. Another aspect that we came to value was the quality of the tradespeople Brent used for the paving and timber work - people we have called upon for other work. It was a pleasure working with Brent and his people, and for us our garden is an eloquent testimony to his talent and hard work. Philip and Wendy

Its been a pleasure to work with Brent and Kim during the Australian Garden Show Sydney and the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. Candeo Design developed a plan to turn my 58 Sqm penthouse balcony into a combination of a garden oasis and an entertainment area. They also arranged for a trusted company to work with me to implement the design. Candeo Design stayed close through the entire project and made sure that I was happy at handover time. Key features were beautiful decking, water feature, synergistic new infrastructure to complement existing infrastructure and great plant selection. They all came together to fulfil the vision that Candeo Design outlined. So much so that the project was highlighted in an edition of a prestigious House and Garden magazine.

We engaged Candeo design to design our landscaping for our extensive renovation In North Caulfield. The brief was for a modern low maintenance design that would be sympathetic to the existing style of the home & would encourage relaxation & a holiday feel. Brent did an amazing job & he delivered a design that met our brief. The front & back gardens while different are cohesive & have certainly enhanced the amazing architecture. Brent worked collaboratively with Bower architecture & Semken landscaping to deliver an amazing result.
