Clarkston Window And Door

I went to Clarkston Window & Door in Aug-2018 as we were building a new home. The owner Jeff was available & spent two+ hours explaining window options, features, quality, etc. We worked off blueprints to put an order together for black Northstar windows & doors. Over the next months I made several changes and Jeff was extremely attentive and patient. He helped me anticipate order timing that worked with our schedule. We had our windows in Jan-2019 but he held our screens till construction finished in September so they would not be damaged. His team did an excellent job with the delivery & install. We are extremely pleased with the services, quality and price. 1.5 years later, we are in the home and had some settling. A header above our double sliding door shifted making it nearly impossible to open the doors. This is the only door Jeff's team did not install, our carpenter did, but he still sent his service team out to make some adjustments. That is beyond quality service! Thank you!!

Clarkston Window and Doors were great. Installed our whole house with Northstar Windows and could not be more happy. Steve and his installation crew are some of the best. Professional, detail orientated, clean and respectful. They treated our house as if it was their own. They were amazingly clean and very educational. I would highly recommend Clarkston and their installation crew. Will not hesitate to use them in the future!

Clarskston workers were prompt, professional and helpful. They arrived early, worked without a break , and accomplished a first rate installation. They cleaned up the work site and left with happy customers admiring the new garage doors! Clarkston was the fastest to respond.....fastest to visit. The cost was ~20% higher, but a different manufacturer with a much better insulation R-value. The gentleman who visited to quote the job was professional and implemented a temporary fix to our broken torsion spring. The lag time between 'sale' and 'installation' was approximately 3 weeks....but the 'fix' lasted, so no issue with the delay. The installation took approximately 6 hours. I was working and could only do a cursory inspection of the job. Upon more detailed inspection I had a concern with how the door bottom seal fit against the floor. There were caps between the seal and the floor, defeating the outstanding R-value (~ 13) of the door. I called Clarkston and the response was fast and painless. They replaced the bottom seal and followed up. All in all very happy with our choice and responsiveness of the company to my concern. Recommend.

Clarkston Window and Doors is the best company I have ever dealt with. They still believe in integrity, honesty, fantastic work ethics, not to mention quality of work and products. Very professional and courteous. Could not ask for more; a rarity to find these days. I will be hiring them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Contacted Bill and he showed up the next day for estimate on a new panel garage door. Price was competitive with the big box stores who could send anyone out to do the work, (Dec 2015) Bill & crew showed up on time and worked steadily & efficiently. Door looks good and functions well. (Jan 2016) Decided to go with them for my front exterior door and am happy with the decision. The only hitch was that my storm/screen door could not be put back up as it no longer fit after installation of the new pre-hung door; hadn't planned on the additional cost of a new custom storm door. Installers had to do some extra trim work but that didn't seem to slow them down. They were polite, professional and left the work area clean.

Jeff (owner) at Clarkston windows is fabulous. Tim wrote up the bid and was friendly & respectful (not pushy like the salesman at some other window companies. However, before purchasing an entire houseful of new windows, I wanted to go to their showroom and see their products in person. Jeff spent easily an hour showing me the features of the Northstar windows they recommended. Their price was exceptionally competitive, too, but the quality was better than the windows available from Lowes for the same price. Also, the Northstar windows allowed any configuration of the grid lines (grilles), whereas the windows from Lowes had limited configurations. I enthusiastically recommend Clarkston, hands-down!

I hired this company to install 33 windows in my home after receiving 5 bids. They invited me to another work site prior to making my decision so I could view the product and see the installation process, as well as meet the supervisor. Their price was on par with other bids and I liked the window more. They did an excellent job caulking, and used a premium caulk. I am very pleased with the results. the home is a hundred year old arts and crafts with original woodwork and the windows matched perfectly. Everything was clean and tidy when they left. There are no drafts and so much quieter. Love this company!!
