We are currently working on our fifth home project with De Mattei and they have consistently built to a high level of craftsmanship and provided excellent service. Nate, Brett, Charles and everyone on the team have been great to work with. They are very well organized and are always mindful of the project details, budget and schedule. Most importantly, when unforeseen issues come up during construction, as they inevitably do, De Mattei excels at working with the design team on creative solutions.

We hired De Mattei Construction for our contemporary remodel in Saratoga, CA. This was an extremely complex remodel since we eliminated virtually every interior wall on the lower floor of a 2 story house. Most of the exterior walls are glass windows and bi-fold glass doors. The De Mattei team was very professional and knowledgeable about getting the job done correctly the first time. They also hire only the best sub-contractors. We had no issues with any of the crews, which surpassed me on such a large complicated project. De Mattei made this project run smoothly and I still feel like part of their family even though the house is completed. I know I can pick up the phone any time for any reason and they will be out immediately to help us out. I am extremely happy that we chose De Mattei for our project. I could not give them any higher praise or recommendation than they fully earned and deserve.

As an interior designer I am often called into projects before they are fully complete to help the homeowners map out a plan for the interior. There is no better way to see firsthand how competent a General Contractor is than to see a job in progress and observe the details usually hidden behind drywall and trim. On several occasions, I have been into De Mattei remodels, additions and full top to bottom construction and have been highly impressed with the level of professionalism and expertise applied to the jobs. Recently, I toured a complex project in San Francisco that required the homeowners retain a historical exterior. The inside was a completely modern masterpiece designed by SF architect Mark English. The site supervisor and the tradesmen on the job were all exceeding at producing a gorgeous space that included floating steel stairs and a clear catwalk. The site itself required many reworks to accommodate a downsloping garage entry and flush walls in a 100 year old structure. The end result is not mine to publish pictures of but it is stunning! Far from being a by-the-book remodel, this project required so much ingenuity and so many different expert tradesmen that I am hoping the home will be prominently featured in design magazines. It's my hope that my own clients will highly consider De Mattei for all their future work!

I started working with DeMattei Construction in 2005 while I was a Program Director for Sunset Magazine and now I work with them as an independent Interior Designer and I cannot praise their talent and professionalism enough. Their project managers are very caring, detailed, professional and budget conscious. As a designer who has worked with several Bay Area builders I can without reservation say that DeMattei Constructions' attention to both quality construction and a quality experience for their customers is hands down the best in the San Francisco Bay Area. Have yet to meet a client who would not hire them again and again.

We contracted De Mattei Construction to design and build our house in downtown Los Gatos. They have been wonderful to work with the entire process. On a lot with space constraints and historic requirements, they designed a house that maximized the square footage, yet was spacious for 3 growing boys. On the construction side, we are ahead of schedule and on budget, what more could we ask for. Everyone has been very professional to work with. They treat our project as if it’s their own. We would highly recommend using De Mattei for your house design and construction needs.
