Distinctive Elements did a great job re-designing our first floor, creating new spaces and installing everything from floors, walls, cabinets, closets and drawers. We are very happy with the process and finished product.

We have used this company for our kitchen remodel, our basement remodel, our living room remodel, and now the exterior of our home!! The quality of the work, the design ideas and the concern for customer satisfaction is top notch!! Can’t go wrong in putting your project in their hands!!

I hired Distinctive Elements to remodel my kitchen, and I have nothing but positive things to say about Bo and Rob! From the moment I described my vision until the last item on the punch list was completed, Distinctive Elements was absolutely professional. They had no hidden fees or agendas. They were organized and transparent about costs and payment schedules. They listened to all my concerns and addressed each one with expertise. AND THEY GOT THE JOB DONE ON TIME! I love the fact that all the craftspeople are under one roof. I didn't have to find a plumber, an electrician, a carpenter, a tile guy...they had a team of experts in-house for my job. I didn't have to worry about licences or inspectors, Distinctive Elements took care of everything. My only job was to choose the materials, appliances, fixings and findings, and that's the fun part! I have already recommended Distinctive Elements to several friends, and hope to work with them again when I'm ready to remodel my bathroom. Hiring Distinctive Elements was one of the smartest things I have ever done!

I had a great experience designing my kitchen and mudroom with Bo. She has a great eye for detail and style. She was on top of the whole process and her construction crew was outstanding. She is great at layout and envisioning the final project. She kept things practical yet stylish. I would highly recommend her.

I can't say enough about this company. I was looking for the right someone to remodel my kitchen for several years. I wanted someone who could DO IT ALL, or at least, get the right people involved. I knew I wanted to make my kitchen bigger and beautiful but had no idea how. I didn't want to shop for cabinets, backsplash, lights, floors, sinks, faucets, paint colors, etc, etc. The thought of ME doing all that research and shopping was just too overwhelming and exhausting, until, I walked into the Phila Home Show and spoke to Bo, from Distinctive Elements. After the first 5 minutes I knew her company would fulfil my needs. Bo and I met several times. She has such creative intuition, and can envision a finished project. Very impressive. This was not something that came easy to me, but I knew I was going to get my dream kitchen. After showing her pictures of kitchens that I admired she was able to hone in on my preferred style. Bo and I communicated over several month either by mail or in person. During that time she sent me pictures and/or came to my house with samples. When we pretty much had everything put together she sent in the crew to start the renovation. It wasn't easy living without a kitchen for a couple months but the end result was well worth it and I have a complete remodel of my kitchen and first floor. Rob and crew did an excellent job putting together Bo's vision and my dream kitchen. I call Rob the miracle worker and I know he would be the first one to tell you I wasn't the easiest client to work with. He was always available to answer my questions (no matter how dumb). He is very detailed and made sure that things were done right and the place was cleaned up before they left. I asked for additional stuff and he complied. I am very grateful to Bo, Rob and company. I still can't believe how beautiful my house is now and I know I couldn't have done it without them.

Bo is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in her pursuit to provide her clients with the perfect solution to their remodeling needs. As a colleague, I can honestly say that Bo takes pride in helping others. In the design community, Bo Li is an asset! I recommend her with complete confidence.

My wife and I just completed a basement/laundry room renovation with Distinctive Elements. In short, it was the best contractor experience that we have ever had. We have been renovating our house over a multi year period doing a different area each year. We worked with Bo Li and Ron at Distinctive Elements on the design and materials and their carpenters Kevin and Andrew on the carpentry work. Kevin and Andrew's attention to detail was impeccable and they met or exceeded all of our expectations (and I am very particular about details). Kevin and Andrew could not have been more pleasant to have on the job site. We would, without a doubt, work with them on our next project/update.

The entire process, from initial consultation to final touch-up, was fantastic. We had a meeting in our kitchen and explained our tastes, and soon after we were presented with a few great options. The overall design and all the suggestions on details exceeded our expectations! The kitchen is a very old addition to stone farmhouse so many unexpected things popped up during remodeling. Each challenge was quickly resolved and the finished kitchen ended up being even better than the initial plans due to some unexpected structural changes. Two parts really impressed us: the artistic flair and eye for details ensuring the whole concept "worked together", and the excellent craftsmanship and courteous crew that did the hard work of making the design come to life. We absolutely love our kitchen and only wonder why we didn't do this ten years ago!

Bo and her team installed a new kitchen and mudroom on my second floor and converted my basement kitchen into a family room. The team was very communicative and listened to my needs. The quality of the work is outstanding. I am so happy with my beautiful new house!

We recently had our kitchen renovated by Distinctive Elements. WOW! What a job the did. We had several other estimates from other companies, but when Bo walked in, we knew immediately that we wanted her to be our designer. She knew what we wanted before we even did! Her design ideas were stunning. So easy to talk to and very quick to answer our texts and emails. Rob and his crew were fabulous! They came when they said, cleaned up beautifully every day. We had a couple of glitches, but that never interfered with getting the job done. We could never have imagined how beautiful our kitchen turned out. I would absolutely, positively use them again if we need any other renovations done.

Bo helped me pick out the cabinets, floor and backsplash. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I took her advice. Great decision! I love my kitchen! It blends together perfectly and I would never have been able to do it on my own. Very professional. Extremely happy with my decision.

We've used Distinctive Elements and Bo Li for two major projects -- Renovation of Kitchen and Options and Furniture selection on a new home. We are a very satisfied customers. The Distinctive Elements team was very helpful in working through our kitchen design and on providing options for cabinets that were in our price range. We really enjoyed the service and design thoughts that the team provided. We love our kitchen and constantly receive compliments on the design and cabinets!!

We updated décor in many rooms of our 19 year old home with Distinctive Elements. We had painting, wallpaper removal, and even a new staircase installed. We found the work performed to be very high quality. Our new bathrooms are beautiful and new office built in cabinetry is efficient, functional and looks great. We are very happy with the results.

Distinctive elements created an absolutley beautiful kitchen for our family. The workman ship was wonderful. Extremely professional group of men. I had 5 groups of contractors come into our house before we hired Distinctive elements and they were unable to come up with a plan that worked with our lay out. It took about 5 minutes for Bo to come in and figure out a solution to our space. I would strongly recommend them. 3 of our friends hired them after our work was completed.

We just completed our second renovation with Bo Li of Distinctive Elements. We re thrilled with the results! Bo Li designs, with your input and wishes, spaces that are not only beautiful but functional. She provides pictures, samples and materials to show clients without pressuring to her way of thinking nor does she disregard your input. Once the design is approved, her team goes to work. They are competent, friendly, and punctual. There is no loud music or cursing and at the end of the day, your area is clean. Talking to the crew about your concerns was met with enthusiasm and problems were solved creatively. They often had suggestions to make part of the project more feasible keeping in mind-cost! Bo was always available either by phone or e-mail which I appreciated. If she could not answer a question, her manager or crew could. You well not be disappointed if you employ Distinctive Elements, Bo Li and her crew.

Bo Li has helped me with the design of various renovations for my home. I have found her designs and advice to be excellent. She is quite knowledgeable about the construction aspect of the renovations, and even though her company did not do the actual renovations, she gave me excellent insight into the reno process along with the costs. Bo is always mindful of our budget and is able to help me focus on the most needed aspects of the project so that we stay close to our anticipated costs. I have found Bo to be easy to work with, and she works well with my contractor, too. She is always pleasant and positive, even when we hit snags in the process. I have great respect for her talent and advice. I highly recommend her as a designer for house renovation projects.

I have been a plumbing contractor for Distinctive Elements Kitchen and Home Design for the past two years. I have worked with many designers and general contractors over the years, but there really is something very distinct about this company. It starts with the personalities that make up Distinctive Elements. It is very important that the customer and contractor(s) have a good working relationship during all phases of a construction project to ensure that everyone is in unison towards the same goal. Bo, Ron and all of their contractors make this part of the process easy because everyone is friendly, trustworthy, respectful, talented, and hardworking. It still amazes me seeing project after project flow so naturally through the phases of construction, even with the inevitable unknowns that pop up during any remodel. This is due to the dedication and organization from the beginning stages of design to the final touches of the building phase. Bo and her team continually impress me and her customers. Bo has an innate ability to transform any space you give her into a functional living space that incorporates all of the customers needs, as well as their personal style. She really listens to what her customers want and will do whatever it takes to make her customers happy. My favorite quality about Bo is she is not afraid to try new things and live on the edge. It may test our skill set and our patience as contractors, but seeing the final product makes it all worth it. The rest of her team take complete pride in their individual crafts and it really shows when you get to witness the customer's surprise face every time they see the finished project. We recently used Distinctive Elements for a major bathrooms & master suite renovation in June of 2015. This is our 4th project with DE. This project we renovated our powder room, kids bathroom, and master bathroom/bedroom all in one shot! All bathrooms were gutted of existing flooring, cabinetry, plumbing, and electrical fixtures. The master bedroom's sitting room was converted to a custom closet, existing closets to new layout, and new finishes. DE is amazing in delivering a dazzling design within budget! The crew arrives daily on time, puts in a hard days of work, and the attention to workmanship and details is just impeccable. We can say hands down that we could never sell our home and be happy anywhere else. This is coming from an Architect herself....who has very meticulous expectations! DE has delivered jaw dropping renovations over the years! We have used them for our Kitchen Renovation 2011, Stucco Remediation 2012, Basement Bathroom 2015, and will never go anywhere else. Once you use DE ....no need to look anywhere else! They take care of you even after the project has been completed. They stand by their work. We love you DE.....keep up the awesome work ethics and fabulous designs!!

Great quality and service. The guys who do the work are top level and true craftsmen. Owner is a bit of an absentee owner as far as interacting with her clients. Despite giving her multiple projects and referrals, there was not a lot of gratitude shown. Her employees are exceptional though. I highly recommend them just don't expect a lot from the owner.

The lead designer, Bo re-designed almost 75% of our ranch. She drew out several scenarios for the rooms and kitchen and we chose the design that best fit our needs. The end result was amazing!!! The house looks brand new with open ceilings and open floor plan. Budget was a huge concern of ours and she kept that in mind when picking out decorative elements and building supplies to use. She was involved in every element which made the experience well worth it. She is so detail oriented so I felt very confident leaving our home in her hands.

We were referred by our neighbor who used Distinctive Elements for their kitchen. When we met Bo, the owner and designer, we immediately liked her as she is friendly and positive. Her design had a similar layout to other proposals, but Bo added an artistic flair by adding in angled cabinets with varied heights and depths that really made the finished project interesting and beautiful. She was quite flexible by incorporating our ideas into the final design which allows for a personalized touch. Her team was great. They were friendly, hard working and stayed right on schedule. There was one incident where they dropped our oven damaging the oven and the new floor. Without question, they fixed both at no extra cost and no delay in the project. The contractors for the cabinets, plumbing and granite were equally good. The finished product looks great! We would definitely use them again.
