You have created an outside living space which is a joy to be in and the finished result is far better than we had hoped and a real credit to your professionalism and skill in designing and completing the job. The whole process from Dougie’s initial design ideas and willingness to make adjustments along the way to fit everything into budget to Gavin’s exceptional craftsmanship skills were amazing. Our patio is a small area and it was a tricky job getting everything fitted in just right, Gavin did an incredible job with decking marquetry to problem solve a difficult space of varying levels with a very high standard of craftsmanship. We are thrilled with all the work and the careful consideration as to how it was carried out and wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending James Garden Landscaping to future Clients.

Dougie James worked with us to transform a new build lump of uneven grass into a proper gardener's garden with interest and colour all the year round. The job was awkward not just because of the weather conditions but because the land had been left in a sorry state and the ground was quite uneven. Dougie was bold in design, well tuned to local plants and stone and very much working with us in planning the garden. His team were knowledgable and very able in the execution and the garden has been much commented on by friends and neighbours alike. An excellent company to work with.

Dougie and his team did a great job in designing and implementing a Japanese style garden for my wife Irene. The result is superb and all carried out with good humour, friendship and understanding of what irene was trying to achieve. Great job.

It's not easy to find a landscape gardener that is not afraid to take on a big area, which my garden is (approximately 1 acre). Full design, heavy lifting, pavings, plant selection, the full works, sometimes done in the most atrocious Scottish weather. Also very nice people to work with and just about to start phase 2.
