About Us

Glen is the president of Glen E. Stuckel Builder, Inc., a residential building and remodeling firm. He is also partner at in Stuckel-Buttorff LLC, a building and remodeling firm. He has served as president of both the Home Builders Association of Louisville and the Kentucky Home Builders Association. In 2002 and 2003, he served as vice president of the National Association of Home Builders, and from 2010-2014 as Kentucky State Representative to the NAHB Executive Committee. Not only has Glen been voted Home Builder of the Year twice in Louisville and once for the state of Kentucky , he has also been named Remodeler of the Year for both Louisville and Kentucky. He has won every award his industry has to offer, and built 19 “Homerama” Show homes and won the “Grand Award” 7 times. In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” and in 2016 he was honored as one of the "100 most influential citizens in Louisville".

With our family out-growing the family room and the probability of not being able to live on three levels, as we grew older, we decided to explore the possibility of enlarging our family room and adding a first floor bedroom, bath and laundry area to our home. We contacted Glen Stuckel, a local homebuilder, to see if an addition to our home was possible. Glen quickly presented ideas for an addition to our home. We worked together refining his plan and soon the new addition was under construction. When completed on schedule, the addition is more than we had hoped for. The quality of workmanship is great. The space is very functional and a wonderful gathering place for family celebrations. We now live comfortably on one floor and plan to remain in our home for many years. We highly recommend Glen Stuckel as a builder. He is creative, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and builds wonderful living spaces. Bill and Bicky Schiphorst
