About Us

Green Acres Ironworks provides a broad range of metal fabrication services. Our installation crews serve Chicago and Northwest Indiana, and we will ship fabricated products nationwide. We fabricate and install railings, staircases, spiral staircases, steel porches, fences, gates, balconies, light structural fabrication, custom fabricated parts, custom tools, hardware, metal restoration, metal sculpture, decorative items, and yard art. We have the capability of fabricating items in steel, brass, and stainless steel.

Green Acres Ironworks, Inc. was and is a pleasure to work with. The attention to detail and aesthetics was superb, with their craftsmanship being unmatched in our region. Erik Dworak is the consummate professional that understands his role in making our projects successful. From design through installation, Erik and his crew were easy to work with and conscientious of the finished product they were working around and with. I highly recommend Green Acres Ironworks, Inc. for your architectural metal projects.

Erik did a great job on the exterior circular stair for our client. The staircase leads from an upper deck to a pool area and is located in a space that was difficult to access. The treads were finished off with the same product as the deck making it appear that they had always been there. The project turned out great and the client is really pleased with the finished product.

Erik is the best! He and his team are absolute professionals. I hired him to do some custom railing in our condo and not only was he quick and affordable, but the job was done perfectly. I get compliments on the work all the time. Would definitely hire Erik again in the future.

Erik provided drawings of several options to choose from in the design of our front porch railings. This was a great help in deciding the final details. The design, workmanship and installation was excellent. Highly recommend.

Green Acres Ironworks is great. We hired Erik to repair our steel staircase at our showroom. Erik was professional, efficient, knowledgeable and did a wonderful job. Several other ironworkers had provided quick fix options that would would have been inadequate for the job. Erik was able to provide several options and completed the job ahead of the estimated schedule. Will definitely hire again if the need arises.

Erik was thorough in the research and recommendations for our specific job. He and his co-workers were all very personable. They took careful measurements, made the necessary final adjustments on the day of the install, and left us a clean work space. We are very pleased. The railings are just what we needed. We would hire them again without hesitation.

We have hired a handful of subcontractors to help us complete an interior renovation of our home. I wish they all cared about their work like Erik. He was a pleasure to work with. His costumer service is of the highest quality. We love the work he did and his attention to detail.

The Trustees of Hinsdale United Methodist Church hired Erik Dworak and his company in the fall of 2015 to install new outside railings for our church. Erik and his people were very polite and professional. They helped us select railings that were coordinated with our architecture. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again should the need arise. They have come back twice to remedy minor defects with the paint.
