Kelly and Carolyn did an amazing job with the design of our kitchen and living area remodel. They were very easy to work with and were always very responsive. They provided great ideas and suggestions, but were never too pushy and ultimately would leave the decision up to us. Whenever we trusted them and went with their idea or suggestion, we were always very pleased with the outcome. They were also very mindful of our budget. We will definitely use them again for our future projects!

I recently did a complete remodel of my pool house. Having worked with Hetherwick Hutcheson Design for many years, over many projects, I engaged them with the confidence that my experience this time would be just as wonderful as it has always been, and they did not disappoint. During the design phase, Kelly and Carolyn helped me to see the options for every decision we made in a way that made it easy for me to the see the trade-offs inherent to each option. They always gave me helpful advice when I asked for it, but never in a way that made me feel they were pushing their views. They recommended a contractor, who did a very good job. They also helped me think about paint colors, furniture, lighting, and window treatments. I was delighted with the outcome of the project. I also greatly appreciate that they structure their financial arrangements in a way that never puts them in a position where their interests diverge from those of their clients. My experiences working with Kelly and Carolyn make me feel I can take on a new project without worry, that the process will be smooth and that I will be happy with the outcome.

Nancy Curless

Very very professional. In 2011, Before moving from Indiana to California, Carolyn helped me to get the house interior painted as well as figuring out where my furniture would fit. Then she helped buy pieces to fill in where needed. When we were building our lake house in Northern Indiana, while still living in California, Carolyn & Kelly worked w/ our Builder & kept us on task w/ meeting w/ us & making selections. This was our first time building anything so we were very overwhelmed w/ all of the decisions to be made. We love our lake house & have no regrets. We also used them for renovating our California Kitchen while in Indiana for the summer. We wanted to avoid living in the mess of renovating the Kitchen. Carolyn & Kelly dealt w/ all the issues while we were gone. We had picked out everything before leaving for the summer. Now all my neighbors are coming over to see what we have done so they can redo their kitchens. I have loved working w/ Carolyn & Kelly & they are so very affordable & have great ideas. I was very overwhelmed by the scope of our kitchen/family room/laundry room remodel and Kelly helped me think outside of my comfort zone to make the most of the remodel. Her architectural vision resulted in the perfect layout for beauty and function. She suggested an amazing contractor and worked well with all the subs. She was available whenever I needed her! She is detailed, thorough and enjoyable to work with!

I have done 3 projects in 2 different houses with Hetherwick Hutcheson over the last 10 years. They are great at listening to what you want (believe me this is not always the case as sometimes designers let their egos get involved) and have a great eye for design. Kelly excels at designing spaces. Two of the rooms she has done for us were bathrooms where space was at a premium- I was very impressed when she took our existing MBR design of shower adjacent to toilet room and flipped them, creating more space and better flow. They are consummate professionals, easy to work with and responsive to budget. Kelly is my go-to when I need design help!

Carolyn & Kelly helped us in California to build a Summer Lake House in Indiana. It was a challenge for us all, but their help was extremely helpful. We have never built a house before, let alone in a different state. They helped us with everything you could imagine and covered every detail. Very knowledgable with the exact details of specifics with the layout of Windows/Doors and logistics of building a house. They would provide me options and deadlines with flooring, tile, etc. We had a few bumps during the building process that they helped with problem solving, and worked directly with the Builder. I would highly recommend them with any project.

I would highly recommend Kelly. She helped us with a major master bedroom and bathroom remodel. She was very professional, cost effective and detail oriented. It was a tight space and she did multiple designs until she was able to fit everything we wanted - keeping track of and taking advantage of every inch. She was also invaluable in assisting with the design of the cabinetry.

We have worked with Kelly on past projects at our home and needed to figure out a complete reconfiguration of our home office to accommodate both me and my husband. Kelly came up with a great design and was available whenever we needed her input. We had to gut the entire space, move a closet wall and be exacting on our measurements for all the new pieces. She has done a great job!

Wonderful to work with - professional, personable, reliable. They have a great sense of style and creativity. Very considerate of budget and great at advising where money should be spent and where it can be spared. They can facilitate custom work where needed and also provide recommendations of products in a range of prices. They have absolutely transformed several rooms in our house as well as thinking through many different seating options for our renovated backyard. Commented: What is the pitch of this ceiling please.This was just a drywall sloped ceiling that we added some beams to in order to add architectural interest. Its about a 30 degree or less slope. Thank you for your interest.

Commented: Very clean designHi, thanks for your question. The window casing is a 1x5. It was installed into the side of the windows and protrudes about an inch ouch from the sheetrock.
