Based on their reputation for quality work, we waited for over one year to get on their schedule to remodel our 14 year old bathroom, and we are glad we waited. Detailed aspects of the project and related costs were discussed in advance and were provided in writing during the project so we knew where we stood $ wise. We were given materials cost savings options and reviewed bids from subcontractors who did specialty work. Hays' communication was outstanding, they finished ahead of schedule and the wall and floor tile work beautiful. Hays is the best! We are the envy of the neighborhood!

Bill and Cindy do wonderful work, we hired them for many projects around our home and my husband and I were very happy with every job they did. Our bathroom remodel is amazing.

Handy Hays Co. has extended a wall and installed double door to create a new enclosed room. Additionally, they have also done some ceiling repair in another room, shortened a double door to the master bedroom so it could be closed after installment of new carpet. Lastly, they painted some interior walls and ceiling. All work was done in a timely manner, or ahead of schedule. They covered affected floor surfaces to prevent damage, and cleaned up any accumulated leftover material promptly. All work work done is of excellent quality. Bill & Cindy are absolutely a premier contracting business. They are excellent in assisting in renovation designs, providing excellent craftsmanship & offer very fair pricing. They are absolutely reliable with appointments and scheduling. After spending 10 minutes with Bill & Cindy, you'll feel like you know them forever. They provided a complete renovation of our townhouse which included a total kitchen, flooring, toilet, painting, etc. We've also used them for window installation & painting. Working with Bill and Cindy from Handy Hays Remodeling was an absolute pleasure. Our project was to completely demo and resize 2 full bathrooms installing a walk in shower in the master, a tub in the main, tile walls, floors, new plumbing, new electrical, new bathroom fixtures, and remove a complete brick fireplace. We had done our homework, knew what we wanted, knew approximate cost, and interviewed multiple contractors. Bill and Cindy were able to take our concepts and ideas, create a design, showing us what we could/should do and once we were all in agreement work began. Because of Bill's extensive planning with us ahead of time eliminated gotchas during the renovation!! Since we are out of state we would receive updates with pictures via email as work progressed. Even with the changes we asked for during the renovation Bill was able to keep to our 4 week timeline and budget. Because of the fantastic job done, I have recommended Handy Hays to friends and relatives in the area.

Bill and Cindy are professionals in every respect. I had no qualms about them having the keys to my house when I was not at home. They are there when they say they will be in order to move a project forward. Last year they remodeled my entire kitchen and this year have done an emergency repair to my bathroom (working on a Sunday to do so) and are in the process of installing new siding on my house - including all new windows. I have received nothing but positive comments from everyone who passes by. I count on their guidance in making final selections for all the remodeling - they have a good sense of style and what will work best in a given scenario. I would highly recommend them for any project you might have. I know that I will continue to turn to them for any future projects I may decide to do.

Our home was damaged due to major water leak....condo was stripped down to the studs and totally rebuilt. Handy Hays guided us in all aspects, coordinating with other contractors and insurance adjusters ect. Handy Hays was extremely prompt, efficient and payed close attention to every detail of the job......what everyone dreams of when looking for a contractor, after years of dealing with contractors in various projects we finally found one that was truely honest, dependable and was accurate with his estimated costs. We would DEFINITELY hire them again!

Handy Hays has done various work for us over the years at our Ocean City condo (total condo makeover - baths, floors, kitchen, etc). When we decided to construct a new home in Powellville MD about 20 miles from OC MD we hoped Handy Hays would come out to the country. Since that time Handy Hays has built a shed, a dog hotel and 2 decks for us. All of the workmanship has been as good if not better than the custom built home itself. The latest project a 40x40 foot pool deck for our new above ground pool wasa a complicated undertaking but Handy Hays handled everything for us which was wonderful since we live across the bridge. With every project we have received daily progress reports accompanied by photos. Each time Handy Hays has done a project there has always been a strong respect for our budget (without cutting corners). We will continue to contract with Handy Hays for any future home improvements because we have complete confidence in them.
