About Us

Jean Hattingh is the founder and Managing Director of Kinzone Interior Design. Jean was born and raised in one of the world's most beautiful and culturally diverse cities, Cape Town, South Africa. Having lived and worked in many parts of South Africa, before emigrating to Australia and settling in Perth, Jean brings to Kinzone Interior Design, a wealth of knowledge, diverse ethnic influences and work experience. The timeless quality of Interior Design by Kinzone is reflected in layers of style, comfort and elegance. An eclectic mix of old and new, modern and recycled vintage, exclusive bespoke pieces and locally sourced products - creates a sense of establishment and evolution.

Jean from Kinzone did an amazing job of decorating the master bedroom, dining room, outside meals area and family room. Prior to Jeans magic touch the areas lacked warmth. Jean used our furniture and added soft furnishings, pictures and other furniture to create a warm, inviting, 'show home.' I would highly recommend Jean. She is professional, honest and very creative.

We hired Kinzone Interior Design to upgrade and improve our living area. The end result was fantastic and improved the value of our home. Jean helped us choose a colour scheme to complement our tiles and installed custom made curtains which added a glamorous and luxurious feel. She also designed a modern and sleek wall unit for our lounge which is a real WOW feature as well as being practical - extra storage and a drinks cabinet. She is fun to work with and is very talented.

Jean Hatting desiged and executed an amazing bathroom for our home in Sorrento. She was professional with us, and considered what we wanted. The project came in on budget and only a week over the deadline. The bathroom feathured in a design magazine. I would highly recommend Jean for any home renovation.

We had the wonderful experience of Jean from Kinzone Interior Design changing our very bland looking home to one with the "Wow" factor. It was all so easy for us as Jean understood perfectly what we needed, sourced options for our choosing and wasted no time in providing samples, photos and mood boards etc. I would highly recommend Jean to anyone requiring the service of an Interior Designer. Working with Jean & her team at Kinzone was a great success for us. We did quite an extensive renovation on our Scarborough home while we were living in Adelaide. We needed to get it done as quick as possible so we could move back to Perth. Jean & her team got the whole job done in just three month's which was amazing! Jean kept us up to date at all time's with the progress & With Her keen eye for design & attention to detail she managed to give us the look we were after. We would highly recommend Jean to anyone wanting to do a renovation to their home... Steve & Lee

Jean is great to deal with and for a first time renovator like me, that was very important. She was patient (I would change my mind every other day), listened intently and always came up with something I haven't thought of. She makes an effort to get to know her clients and is budget-conscious, organized and knows how to get the best out of the tradies! She has a passion for what she does and delivered from design through to execution. I would highly recommend Jean!

Thank you Anel. I was approached by Home and Garden US to film an episode of 'House Hunters International'. Anel and I spent 4 days with the film crew and had enormous fun making the movie. A year later - after our renovation of Anel's home - they came back to film the sequel.
