Jeff is meticulous and very creative. He works in many different mediums with amazing expertise. We really liked how he could go into a room and come up with several ideas of how you could make it unique, warm and inspiring. Once you start with him you'll have a hard time stopping... you'll just want him to do your whole house!

Jeff Rutter is an extremely talented, creative and multi-faceted artist and craftsman. I met Jeff almost twenty years ago when he was introduced to me by the architect designing our master bathroom remodel. Since that time, Jeff has completed many artwork masterpieces in our home including several massive canvas paintings, faux finishes on our walls and ceilings, custom statues, and even designed and crafted furniture pieces including custom chairs and tables. Through the years, I have just shown him the space where I would like something created, given him paint and fabric samples from the room and said "create something spectacular." Within a week, he has sketched up a fabulous idea for that space which is completely spot-on to my taste. His creations are one of a kind and admired by everyone who visits our house. In addition, he has a great personality and is very easy to work with. You will not be disappointed!

Jeff has done several large projects with me over the past 10 years. He has done custom wood and wall finishes, faux finishing, a 30 foot custom mural, sculpture work and custom etched glass. Everything Jeff does, is always created with his creativity, love of art, understanding of clients wishes and perfectionism. When I sit with Jeff and give him my ideas, he takes them and creates sketches and color/material schemes, that not only bring my wish to reality but beyond my expectations. Jeff designed two of our restaurants. There were many times Jeff got involved with the general contractor and kitchen design architect and made suggestions/corrections to their designs that were incredible. he is on time, quick with delivery, meets deadlines and flexible with his pricing. Jeff has done several jobs for me: 1) he designed, built and supervised the installation of a large cedar sign for the front entrance of my apartment complex, 2) designed, constructed and installed entertainment centers for two of my condos, 3) designed the layout of my outdoor patio, 4) chose color scheme and suggested contractors to paint the exterior of my single family home, 4) painted a large painting (from photos provided by my sons) for my Lake Geneva summer home, and 5) I seem to always consult with him on any of my major projects to get his artistic suggestions before starting them. He has often changed the way I approach remodeling/updating projects. Jeff not only has the artistic talent to envision a project but has the experience to understand the complexly of getting the project done. He knows which materials will work and which materials not to use in given environments.

I have used Jeff for approximately 20 years on a variety of projects. Jeff did all of my faux painting throughout the house--kitchen, baths and hallways. He has built numerous pieces of furniture to coordinate with existing pieces I had purchased over the years, he created a large mirror for my great room which has 26 foot ceilings and needed a statement piece, he redesigned and built the bar in my great room, he designed and created the cabinetry in all the main floor bathrooms, he designed and built two cabinets flanking the fireplace for my daughter's family room as well as her coffee table and he designed and built an outdoor buffet to complement our new decking. Obviously we think Jeff is a huge talent and would recommend him to anyone. His prices are fair, he delivers when he says that he will and he is a true pleasure to work with. I would be happy to talk with anyone considering him for a project!!

I have used them several times and have found their work to be very impressive. They did a pickling wash on some brickwork, matched previous trim colors and stains and also did a complete rebuild of an antique pine cabinet. Very innovative and very professional. Bob Schiewe
